- Roshi was able to get the better of Yajirobe in Freeza Arc filler.
- Garlic Jr. Arc Roshi gained enough of a boost from the Black Water Mist to fight well against Kuririn, with the same boost bringing Yamcha from at least the 50-60k area to above 1 million since he could do well against Piccolo.
- Toei had to make Roshi drunk against so the movie wouldn't end there.
- JSAT Roshi volunteered to fight Abo and Kado.

Roshi could always be as strong as he wants to be with :toei by his side.
