No, I honestly only defend Naruto but don't even feel like it's worth it anymore since everyone just jumps on the bandwagon. Bleach is fucking terrible but it can keep your attention better than Jojo can. Jojo is only good if you like random unnecessary gay poses every few scenes. The plot is stupidly simple and the "twists" are retarded and childish. I don't remember defending DN, only thing I remember saying about it was that part II is completely pointless.

Aside from the gay poses the simple plot really only applies to the villain of the week formula in part 3 which is where you dropped to my knowledge. Not gonna sit here and tell you to read the rest of the arcs but I am saying it's a rather limited scope.

"Defending" might have been a poor choice of words on my part, maybe "liking" is a better term since you've gone and said that early Bleach was excellent and that Death Note was amazing pre-Part 2 which honestly sound like overadulations.

Anyway, I'm not trying to turn this into some immature yo taste is shite argument like Yoshi would, I'm just saying with the incredible bias you show toward at least Naruto which was crippled with way more flaws than JoJo (in my book) I find your criticisms questionable at best. If a simple plot is to be criticized then a plot where a rabbit princess that was mentioned in the last 40 chapters of a 700 chapter manga being behind a series of comedic asspulls is complete trash. I had to turn off my brain and still was actually pained by the terrible plotting in Naruto where you can pull eye techniques without even having eyes and Zetsus were really ancient humans that somehow all had the DNA of a guy who died 50 years ago.

Parts 1 and 2 are a continuous storyline almost and Parts 3 and 4 are somewhat related although not constant. Part 5 and 6 are sequels of part 3 although they don't really have anything to do with each other. Parts 7 and 8 are in a different universe altogether.

It's all kind of a reboot except with some supporting characters reappearing in future parts mostly. I don't like it THAT much but it still isn't bad compared to Naruto which fell apart in every conceivable way toward the end imo.

I'm only talking about how I think Jojo is complete trash. If I were to compare Jojo I wouldn't try to compare it to other trash series, I would compare it to non-trash series. I know some of my favorite series like Naruto are flawed heavily.

So back to focusing on Jojo - I don't see the appeal. Maybe if I was a bit homosexual I could see myself going for it but apart from that it's just a stupid simple plot with no real twists (from what I've seen).

Which is why to be honest you seem incapable of DISliking certain series even when many faults are presented (see: Naruto) while you take a much harsher tone with other series which many wouldn't say are piled with as many flaws. A lot of the time it seems like you're quick to go criticize things on lack of surface appeal or for much less heavy flaws than the stuff you like. That's not to say I find all the stuff you like unenjoyable though, but criticizing certain series as worst shonen ever because of a dozen boring episodes while putting up with 400+ chapters of idiocy = overt enough bias to mention

Anyway, i apologize if I'm still treading opinion war ground (can't argue very well after being awake this long) but a lot of your criticisms tend to be based off that surface appeal thing like I said, "looks homosexual so it's unappealing to me" just reads like someone saying "I wouldn't be caught dead reading HxH because of the dumb fishing rod carrying kid" or "One Piece is gay because art style."

Bias is a pretty bad word to use when comparing opinions. Opinions are fundamentally biased. I don't forgive Naruto's flaws (at least the one's I accept). But accepting its flaws never stopped me from enjoying it.

I like Naruto because it was the first manga I started reading. I also liked the power hierarchy right up until the the war started getting serious. The variation in the villages was also pretty fun until it became clear that nobody can compete with Konoha. So yeah, while I do accept that Naruto is heavily flawed, it doesn't meant I don't get to rag on other series because I enjoyed Naruto.

Taking more enjoyment in something else isn't wrong, but some criticisms you draw aren't gonna sound so legitimate when you capitalize on small things you dislike in Berserk or Punpun like one plot point or art style while openly forgiving massive flaws in others.

I accept that those things make a series unenjoyable to you but that won't lift the impression that you're quick to rag on certain series on rather minute things considering your forgiving nature toward some others

I don't think forgiving is the right word to use either still since I've said I do accept the flaws in series I do like. There's nothing wrong with not ragging on Naruto if I have some sentimental enjoyment for it. There isn't some hard set rule for this kind of thing. I accept that what I like about Naruto is mainly superficial, and the plot overall left for much to be desired. I liked what came across overtly to me such as the power hierarchy. The only thing that came across overtly to me in Joejoe were the gay scenes since the plot was so cookie cutter. So maybe if I was gay I'd be able to overlook the simple plot and take the superficial aspects of Joejoe (gay poses), but alas I can't

Taking each independently - Berserk. I don't think I said it's a shit series or anything. I know that it's a great series and my criticisms of it are independent to myself and what attracts me to a series. Also taking independently Punpun - this series is pretty much up to the reader of whether you can relate to the type of story or not. If you can, it's great and if you can't it's gonna just come across as try hard.

Joejoe is not close to either of these anyway so I feel comfortable ragging on it.

Yeah I was just shitposting there. My view on it is better explained in the post above, but I'd still come to the conclusions that "it sux" because of it.
