I mean to be fair, its not like raditz knows a technique to kill all of the humans at once like Super Buu's human extinction blast

They can't sense ki and their scouters might have a hard time picking up battle powers of humans all over so physically inspect every area of the planet could theoretically take a while but a month still sounds too long. A week at most I'd say.

They probably were doing that because the people of the planet could actually fight back (which is probably why they went Oozaru in the first place). The residents on Earth would be massively outclassed by even the Base Saiyans, that is why they thought the baby wig a power level of 2 could conquer it after a few years.

Killing the population =/= Destroying the world. They’re planning on killing the humans to sell the planet. Evaporating everything makes the planet worthless.

I’d also think the Saiyans would want to do some pillaging themselves too.

Now that I think about it, if they have to hand-over the planet in good condition then maybe yeah.

Even then I think Raditz can destroy all the population centers in about two weeks tops unless they completely want all human technology in tact.

I could see it taking a long time to clear out the rural areas and find people like Ox King or Grandpa Gohan types who live in the middle of nowhere. Plus their scouters likely can't tell the difference between normal humans and large animals like dinosaurs and bears. The scan Kenshi posted actually makes it make more sense. They can't just spam ki, keep missing their targets and damage the planet so much the value tanks.
