That's too bad. Seems like it could easily be 30-50 episodes if thy wanted to fit everything in.

Does this thread count as a general anime thread? I don't see one, but I can count on one hand how many times I come into this part of the forum. Feels like stepping into a hidden wing of an old mansion.

Anyway, I just ordered an old favorite of mine and one of the first animes I ever watched. It's called Wicked City. I first saw it around 2001-2002, right after I discovered Dragon Ball Z for the first time. Saw it by accident, and truth be told it came on at like 2 am when I was staying up late at my dad's house waiting for some softcore on HBO. It is what it is. Anyway, some shit ended and this was listed next. The description said the main character's name was Goku so stayed up late to watch it. To this day I don't know if that was a typo or what because protagonist isn't called Goku.

Well, I got plenty of nudity, that much I can tell you. This blew my teenage coomer mind at the time because it was so violent and filled with sex, borderline hentai if it weren't for the detective/demon storyline that really carried it. I'd never seen anything like it. Always stuck with me. The first real adult anime I'd ever seen.

A giant spider comes out of a hooker's vagina in the beginning of the movie.

So I bought this sweet Korean version on DVD listed on ebay, after always clamoring to own this for years.

digimon-tamers

was gr9, but i'd say that compared to the beginning & last section, the middle was quite boring in-comparison i think. the beginning with all the real sci-fi elements was gr9 & some-times very creepy/weird tone (devimon episode), but then when they went to digital-world that all stopped that seemed (even-tho there were still some kewl moments & so-on) & was just separating the group, focus-episodes & fights. also had less focus on guilmon who was fav. out of them all i think (because large group & focus episodes & so-on). series got back to being good toward the time true enemy was talked abt tho & they went to real-world, at that point the series went back to the sci-fi elements from the beginning of the series & the characters like the hypnos gai from before became more prominent again, which i preferred.

i think i think i think.

I watched Asobi Asobase. It was funny.
I've been rewatching all of Jojo with some friends before Part 6 comes out. Currently 2/3s of the way through Part 4.

Is part 3 Jojo worth watching? I'm probably gonna continue with part 2 after I finish Blade but don't have much desire to watch part 3 lol.

It's basically the manga animated (with pretty good animation at that, aside from some low budget scenes which were corrected in the Bluray/DVD versions), only it does fix some small plot holes. But nothing really that noticeable and it's still a repetitive mess either way. Part 4 is better in the manga than the anime because they had to condense it down to 39 episodes despite Part 4 being longer than Part 3 in the manga (whereas in the anime Part 3 was covered in two 24-episode seasons).

If I wasn't watching it with other people I'd have been bored out of my mind. Maybe try to recall your favorite fights and watch those. Last chunk of episodes were fun.

I was only able to watch it all because I watched it weekly, like a Saturday morning cartoon. Otherwise I'd have dropped it after season 1.

Sounds like a hard pass then. Fuck that. Definitely not down for 48 episodes of that.

This must be my problem I tried to get into JoJo multiple times but I get enough after like 8 episodes.

Watched episode 2 of Blade. So far it’s off to a pretty good start but it’s hilarious that the entire plot will fit into the next 22 episodes :ha
