What if the Z-Fighters managed to kill Nappa?

My guess is that upon seeing Nappa being killed Vegeta would quickly wipe them all out before Goku showed up.

How would Goku react to arriving on the battlefield only to see that everyone was dead already?

Goku would be consumed by wrath at what had happened, unfortunately his joy of the battle will consume his actions, Vegeta will turn Ozaruu, kill Goku, kill everyone, and remain Freeza's slave for the rest of his life.

Doubtful. He already told Nappa not to bother sparing Piccolo when he realised there would be Dragon Balls on Namek.

Vegeta kills everybody on Earth. On Namek, he manages to collect the 6 dragonballs, the same way he did
in the series. The seventh dragonball is still at Guru's place. Past that point, it's hard to tell. Depends on
who would be the first to find that house: Vegeta or Freeza's forces? Most likely, Vegeta finds it first, because
of his ki sensing, while Freeza has to wait for the scouters Ginyu and his men (currently on their way) will
fetch. Anyway, Vegeta is killed, either by Nail or Ginyu Forces. Freeza does not get his wish, because, even
if he gets all dragonballs, nobody will tell him the code. Eventually, Guru dies, Freeza destroys Namek, forgets
about dragonballs and goes back to ruling his empire.
