But the Super anime and manga are very different. Which is canon and which is non-canon?

So what? Toei = movies too, which AT also worked on, so does that make the movies both canon and non-canon at the same time?!

Except AT stated that movies takes place on different dimension and GT is a side story which is different from Super where he intended it as 'serialization of manga'.

But AT also said, if memory serves correct that Battle of Gods was an official continuation and he intended to put it in the manga, or something to that effect. So, by this logic, we can exclude Battle of Gods from this "alternate dimension" statement and include it in the canon.

Also, since Battle of Gods looks much better, came out first, and Super is ass, I can also say that we can hold BoG to a higher standard than Super.

Well, the way I see it:

Canon = Happened, legitimate, offical.

Non-Canon = Wot-if, illegitimate, unofficial.

Like I said, I only really consider the manga to be canon since you can avoid a lot of headaches that way.

How can you say that about BoG and FnF where Toriyama supposedly was involved heavily in the script of at least one of them, and decided to use their exact plots in his (Toei's) Super version. It's definitely a grey area, it is not straightforward whatsoever.

For continuity consistency, manga-only, though I wouldn't be irked at Super being part of the canon via implications from Toriyama, who despite his contradictive nature, still holds the most influence over what's "canon" as creator.

Dr. Slump and Ginga Patrol Jaco also fit in due to the former being directly featured in the manga's canon whilst the latter is part of the new canon.

I might post it at some point if you insist, though due to adopting a minimalist perspective due to the gaps displayed in the Saiyan/Namek Arcs and battle power gaps being somewhat inconsistent to begin with, along with me being not have much enthusiasm for those kind of lists anymore, don't expect it to be some grand analysis.

Anyway, enough of that. Back to the main topic.
