Where would you put Kaio-Ken x10 Goku scene?

I see people keep saying this was gr9 and so hype, just like DragonBall. I didn't think it was that great. Was OK, but nowhere near the top power-up or hype scenes of DragonBall.

What do you think?

It was cool, but it was against a useless opponent. If that was something he whipped out against Black due to desperation, like Kaio-ken was intended to be used, it would've been better.

True, that too probably.

He risked his life for a facking tournament fight, l0l.

If it had been in a life or death situation and in a more serious/dramatic scenario, it'd have been much more memorable.

Yeah, it would have been better off him using it against a serious threat where he needed to risk it all. I would have liked better if it was just plain SSB Goku vs Hit, using their skills and technique to their disposal to gain the advantage, except Hit wouldn't be improving. It would have also helped with the power scaling.

A tournament fight he forfeited anyway. :facepalm2

Improving or "growth" as they called it was the biggest piece of shit idea they could have thought of.

What's next? A villain that can be maximum just because he feels like it? :panties :panties :panties

If they took Kaioken and Improvement into consideration in that fight, normal Kaioken would have been better off, since Hit growing 2x stronger wouldn't trigger me as much.

Toei logic for you. :king :king :king

If they had it saved for a time like this, it'd have been much better. The tournament just made Goku look stupid. He says there's almost no chance he can pull it off successfully and he says he's been saving it for Bills, then uses it for a throw-away tournament fight. That's Anime Goku for you. :king :king :king

If it were up to me, there'd have been no improvement at-all. Maybe Hit reveals he hadn't been using his true-power yet or something.

Seems like the writers just took the easy way out.

Monaka was there though.

As for the topic, I don't like the Japanese dub maybe we'll see once the Funimation dub it and add some cool theme.

It had good animation and appropriate sound effects, but felt over the top for a tournament fight, yeah.

I think the reason it hasn't reappeared yet isn't an in-universe reason as I doubt Goku would care about risking his life at this stage in the game, but rather they just want to make the anime's continuity go in line with Toriyama's outline and Toyotaro's manga which likely don't include the Kaioken. At least they tried to explain it with that episode where Goku's ki was all fucked up.

That only makes Goku look even dumber for using it.

Well at that stage only Piccolo had realized Monaka is an alien Mr. Satan.

He didn't thought that Kaioken would crush his body after he healed it.
He knew it had one in tenth chance of succeeding. That is risking his life.

He knows he's the main character, so the 10% line is just to make the technique look even more dramatic :troll
