Yeah, I'm just saying those were the years I was mostly active. 2017 and 2018 were solid too. Then it decreased, specially 2022 and 2023. I was fairly active in the pandemic years, but since then it decreased. I'm more active nowadays cuz I got a little burnt out from extensive studying but I think it's been enough, time to take another time off again. Tho I've never had more than a 2 months hiatus iirc.

If I have to select one user, I'll definitely choose @ahill1 the way he drivens in his debates and how he explains his ideas are quite in a good manner always going in depth, even if I don't agree at 100% with him (which is impossible). This without mentioning that he has a lot of patience to attend special cases such as @Spiral-Force who does have an slow proccess learning from what I can tell.

Nah, he is an special case to attend that can't behave himself properly and doesn't get the ideas quite correctly. He also doesn't get most of the messages due to how limited and poor his capability of comprehension is.

These kinds of threads always turn into some sort of circle jerk. Debating is a team effort, just like the idea that there are no good heroes without good villains to battle, it's the same here. It's a team effort, one debater pushes the conversation to the next level, and the next one matches and exceeds that position. No one can debate themselves and make tremendous progress like you can when having a ton of eyes and different interpretations available.

A perfect example for me is exactly what is happening now with the Initial Form Freeza debate. I made a detailed analysis on the issue, to which Kyo added another element, and now everyone's adding their own take. Then I get to absorb that all in and try to formulate what I think is best with the new data. Then with the new data, present my progressing logic and rinse and repeat.

The idea that there are best and knowledgable and all that is quite silly. We are a bunch of nerds asking lots of questions and trying to find good answers to those questions. That's all we are doing. No need for the circle jerk.

This has kinda gone off the rails from what I initially created but I guess maybe that was inevitable. I was simply curious as to who seems to have the most general knowledge of the content. Not necessarily debate skills or whatever.

I agree with this. This was actually a problem for the Shinden Forums and phpbb3 DBZeta. I much prefer the knowledgeable yet non elitist community we have now.
