These kinds of threads always turn into some sort of circle jerk. Debating is a team effort, just like the idea that there are no good heroes without good villains to battle, it's the same here. It's a team effort, one debater pushes the conversation to the next level, and the next one matches and exceeds that position. No one can debate themselves and make tremendous progress like you can when having a ton of eyes and different interpretations available.
A perfect example for me is exactly what is happening now with the Initial Form Freeza debate. I made a detailed analysis on the issue, to which Kyo added another element, and now everyone's adding their own take. Then I get to absorb that all in and try to formulate what I think is best with the new data. Then with the new data, present my progressing logic and rinse and repeat.
The idea that there are best and knowledgable and all that is quite silly. We are a bunch of nerds asking lots of questions and trying to find good answers to those questions. That's all we are doing. No need for the circle jerk.
