I've seen them now. The titles clarify that the feat in the preview is not quantifiable for the real Krillin (which I never disagreed with, because I was speaking hypothetically), but that doesn't necessarily mean Krillin won't be at the level the preview suggested. I never mentioned the stage in the first place.

Out-of-universe-wise, Krillin reaching low SSJ2 tier or higher wouldn't be surprising because it could just count as being another plot hax to fit the narrative.

Though In-universe-wise, it would be surprising and questionable. Krillin getting back into martial arts not too long before the tournament wouldn't make for a reasonable enough explanation. I think that's what SuperSaiyan2 is getting at here.
