What would have happened if Vegeta had been just as evil after Namek?

He had his sights set on taking down the Super Saiyan version of Goku. When there's someone with a massive power lead (like Frieza, a big part of his immortality plan), he's willing to play the waiting game to work towards overcoming them.

120 eps in, Brief take on Vivi - I understand that the point is to protect her, but seeing someone constantly on the defensive isn't engaging. Usopp and Nami - I appreciate that Nami brought up their unimpressive strength and wanted to do something about it. Usopp didn't really engage with the...

106 eps in, The lion's share of the Alabasta journey has been about the survival aspect, particularly health-wise rather than battle-wise, with an indication that serious battles will resume after the current jail dilemma in Rain Dinners. There's also the rebellion factor with Koza, although...

96 eps in, Chopper's getting more familiar with the team. Outside of the medical stuff, I think his mini form could come in handy for finding shelter / hiding when needed, and his jacked form could catch an aggressor off-guard upon transformation. Further insight into the Baroque Works...

86 eps in, (Little Garden, further thoughts) Mr 3 shook things up a fair bit, but the giants integration into the story weakened the momentum in getting further up the Baroque Works ranks. Just didn't seem like an angle worth pursuing with what was being built. (Drum Island, so far) Similar to...

71 eps in, (Whisky Peak) Decent balance between new information and action, with foundational details about Baroque works revealed, while getting an understanding of what some of them can do in battle. It makes you curious about the upper levels of the hierarchy. In terms of Luffy/Zoro - it's...

63 eps in, (Warship Island, further thoughts) There wasn't much to get you invested in Eric obtaining immortality, or seeing a disgruntled dragon barely doing stuff. If Eric's plans were more fleshed out, and they leaned into Ryu's senility a bit more to set up a fight with the Straw Hats in...

57 eps in, Loguetown appeared to be a break from the more malicious encounters of the previous arc, although tension was still there given Smoker's intention of halting the crew's Grand Line journey. Further insight into certain things; such as Yasopp's tenure as a pirate, and what swords are...

46 eps in, With Arlong's terror being much more personal and long-standing, it gave his defeat further weight than the previous fallen antagonists; no wonder the villagers celebrated so hard. Zoro had built a name for himself by the time he had debuted, but it looks like Luffy is catching...

40 eps in, Zeff was really in his element as an active pirate. He was absolutely reveling in taking over that cruise ship in the flashback. There seems to be enough built around him to extract stories from his past if the storyline ever wants to go that route again. Krieg is reminiscent of...

    Viewing One Piece

25 eps in, Zeff and Mihawk give off a "been there, done that" demeanor, although Mihawk still finds it fun to instigate conflict, while Zeff treats it like a chore since he's focused on maintaining Baratie's success. No surprise that Luffy's latching onto Sanji as the next crew member; Luffy...

20 eps in, A couple of patterns noticed: 1) defeated antagonists living to fight another day, despite no sign of changing their ways (e.g. Buggy, Kuro). 2) Encountering eccentric characters during points in the journey; while their own story may not correlate much to the crew, sometimes we get...

    Future Trunks is in mid-30s?!

It happens in the manga as well.

    Future Trunks is in mid-30s?!

Goku trained in the RoSaT for 3 years to prepare for the U6-7 Tournament, which came before the Black Saga, so that would push the age gap above 10 years going by your calcs. I see where you're coming from, but the prompt is ultimately about DBS Trunks.

12 episodes in, Buggy came across like the standard brash villain, though catching Zoro off-guard and testing Nami's loyalty were alright moments for him. I was intrigued by how he recovered from getting utterly cracked by Luffy, but then he got BFR'd soon after... Kuro seems more calculated in...

    Future Trunks is in mid-30s?!

Do you have a source for Trunks being less than 10 years younger than either of them? Every thing I've read on the net has it way above 10 years overall, even with RoSaT adjustments. Not to mention Goku has more RoSaT years on Trunks, too. Besides battle-related progress, warriors come out of...

    Future Trunks is in mid-30s?!

Usually, 10~ years or more is considered a notable age gap even among adults, which Goku and Bulma vastly exceed compared to Trunks going by birth years. And I very much doubt RoSaT usage would cause an actual behavioral change in this circumstance, and definitely hasn't thus far.

4 episodes in, A bit of insight into Luffy's backstory. With the plot being so tied to the vast seas, it's inevitable they'll make use of large animals or other constructs as obstacles. Fiction in general likes to make towering beings imposing; with Shanks' struggle being an early example of...

    Viewing One Piece

One Pace is a fair alternative. Another method people use (similar to what SSJ2 indicated), is prioritizing the manga while checking the anime for the big fights / moments. I'm okay with going through the whole journey, but I understand why someone would take an abridged approach or manga-only.

    Future Trunks is in mid-30s?!

@Fantastische Hure Asking a battle peer to stand back while they handle something tends to be because they deem themselves more capable of handling the threat. Looking at it holistically, Trunks is treated with more seriousness overall than most other characters, because he's often in the...
