I am somewhat thinking the smart thing would be to read them in volumes. Right now he's taking his sweet time with the plot, which isn't bad, but maybe not so good as a weekly experience lol.
I’d prefer he takes his time then to rush like many other manga in the finale. When the war happens, every chapter will be either significant to the story or adrenaline fueled.
I think it's presumptive to assume we've seen Shanks at his best there. This would imply Whitebeard countered Roger's strongest attack with just Haki alone, which would be its own set of problems.
I only heard about the hate for Dressrosa after I finished reading it. It's so bloated that you can cut 20-30 chapters out with no downside, but I still found the conflict enganging and the villain phenomenal. Had it top 5 arc of all time (probably not anymore but at least top 10).
