Goku was training a heck of a LOT for the Androids, and he even got a considerable Zenkai in the movie. Not to mention his Yardrat Power that was already > Trunks... It's a numerical impossibility even if you try to make Trunks the strongest possible without bloat

So, nobody existed, they never fought Piccolo, never fought Vegeta, and never fought Freeza and the series is meaningless to the movies, which means that everything is a waste of time and space?

A guy that was referred to be even stronger than Freeza when he wasn't even close to complete the transformation surely has a chance to beat guy who destroyed a (slightly) stronger version of Freeza.

There is also a chance that Goku was referring to mecha freeza since he sensed him in the space.

Well, I think Cooler would win since not only did Goku get stronger than he was in the Freeza arc, but he also got a zenkai boost from eating a senzu. I dont think Cooler is much weaker than Goku.

I put Yardrat Goku as the same as M5 Goku. Cooler might be able to win with his Supernova, unless Trunks retaliates with an energy attack of his own. I'll give it to Trunks 7/10 times.

No.They fought all these characters.Movie 5 simply takes place right after Goku defeated Freeza, but way before he returned to Earth.

Coola has completed the transformation at that point.And there is a huge gap between an even stronger Freeza and Trunks.

There are multiple reasons why this movie doesn't take place after Goku has returned from Yadrat, ranging from Gohan's appearance, Goku's SSJ requiring anger to no mentioning of the androids, Trunks or most importantly, King Cold and Mecha Freeza.

Gohan's appearance changes all the time in the movies. Goku's SSJ requiring anger is assumption, there is no reason that Goku would mention the Androids when he was fighting Cooler, and Freeza is always referred as "Freeza". "Mecha Freeza" is a fan-made name. There is no reason that Goku would mention King Cold too.

Watch the movie, he clearly needs anger to transform.
Goku would mention, that him, Gohan and Piccolo are taking a break from training.

No reason?How about the fact, that his father is dead?Or the fact, that his brother survived and that this guy from the future killed him.
