To be fair, being on par with Boo pretty much guarantees that you'll lose because of a combination of stamina advantage and regeneration. Either way, consider it yet another dumb statement from V-Jump.

I know it's just beyond stupid to risk a permanent fusion and lose your being when the situation isn't even that bad. The fusion dance would have got the job done according to it and Goten and Trunks are an ungodly amount lower than Goku.

Fusion Dance wasn't exactly an option in the middle of a fight. Especially when Goku and Vegeta failed to perform it twice in the movie despite clear indications from Piccolo.

Well the movie wasn't canon.

Even if they had the time to use Instant Transmission to get the hell out of here (knowing there is barely any life left on Earth), they'd still need time to teach Vegeta how to use Fusion Dance, knowing the kids practiced for a while to get it right.

It doesn't really matter though. Vegeta'd be able to do it faster I think. The children only got it wrong a few times, but I think Vegeta as an adult wouldn't make those mistakes. Even if their fusion hadn't been as perfected as post RoSaT training Gotenks was, a fusion like the pre-RoSaT would have been more than enough according to this.

Besides Vegeta never said Goku had a change against this Boo, despite later-on telling Goku to fight Kid Boo.

They let that happen against Kid Boo though and like I said Vegeta told Goku he can take Boo as a SSJ3 but never said the same against Super Boo because he knew Goku was right and they were about to get destroyed.

Besides I'd rather try my best at fighting someone equally (especially since this is Goku who loves a challenging fight) than the possibility of being permanently fused with someone for the rest of my life.

I'm also just saying if Goku was willing to take a chance against Kid Boo who was also just about on-par with him, why wouldn't he try with Super-Boo? Or why didn't Vegeta will him on like he did against that Boo? Because they both knew they stood no chance.
