So, on a scale of 1 to 10, how much do you rate this in terms of retard?

1. This is what happens when writers don't keep notes lol.

2. This goes back to my logic i used awhile back.
The absorption of Gohan could've added to corruption of the purified evil nature of Buu causing a drop in power from the Good nature of Gohan.

This would back the reason why Grey Buu was stronger than Chubby Pink Buu, & continues the pattern of Buu becoming weaker after absorbing the Dai Kaiôshin, also lean in favor of KidBuu being the strongest Buu form as he is pure evil uncorrupted by good.

3. Pretty much creating a retroactive continuity in past events in order to line up with current arcs.

Boo would destroy the Earth along with the DBs while Vegeta learns the fusion dance so the Potara is the best option at that time.

They let that happen against Kid Boo though and like I said Vegeta told Goku he can take Boo as a SSJ3 but never said the same against Super Boo because he knew Goku was right and they were about to get destroyed.

Besides I'd rather try my best at fighting someone equally (especially since this is Goku who loves a challenging fight) than the possibility of being permanently fused with someone for the rest of my life.

First of all my argument is not about Goku having a power equal Boohan so let's throw it out of way.

Also it was already stated why Fusion Dance shouldn't be use in this situation.

Elder Kaioshin himself agreed that FD is useless in this situation not even Goku tried to contradict him by telling that he could just grab Gohan out there with IT and teach him how to fuse.

Another reason why Goku was willing to fuse with Vegeta forever so that Vegeta doesn't have to go back on the after-life once Boo is dead.

Why exactly would it be stupid? They had a choice between a risk-free Fusion method vs a Fusion method that could fail if they don't execute it correctly (and there is no time to practice). The Potara being permament was the least of their worries in this situation.
