I am convinced that Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero is the very peak of Dragon Ball. It's somewhat poetic that Akira Toriyama would depart to the other world after this, seeing as he reached peak and there was nothing more left to do.

Nah, DB Super-Hero had the end of DragonBall Z vibe with Gohan being grown-up & all. I liked that. Super Broly was good, but not as good.

It was cool seeing Gohan and Piccolo finally be relevant again. The CGI was mostly alright and there were some cool fight scenes. That's about all the good I can say about it.

But the whole thing can be summed up as "Bio Broly meets Dragon Ball AF". Gohan Blanco, Orange Piccolo, and Red Cell all in one movie. Whatever, but they could have at least made Cell Max a recolor of Perfect Cell (preferably the Buff Cell that fought Gohan), not lame ass Semiperfect Cell.

The Gammas, Hedo, Magenta, and Carmine all sucked. Kurilin, Eighteen, Goten, Trunks, Gotenks, and Bulma were completely unnecessary. And dumb shit like Gokuu forgetting what meditation is? Movie sucked dick. I, too, prefer DBS Broly.

There were some really goofy-looking shots in the film. Gohan Beast kind of looks like Sonic the Hedgehog here. It doesn't even make sense why he would be making that facial expression; Cell Max was already defeated and the day was saved, so why does he look like he's going, "Grrrr!"? Shit looks retarded, as does Orange Piccolo in this shot. I know he's surprised to see Pan, but his facial expression is goofy. You can tell the animators really played up the silliness of how the new transformations looked.

Making Gohan's hair grow an extra 2 feet is what killed the design for me.

Hair is still bigger than I would have liked it, but these drawings look cool.

It looks lamer in Toriyama's modern style (Fenyo_n drew all of these, though; amazing how he can emulate so many styles so well famalam!)

The right looks so much better lol

I agree. The original run was a lot better than the current. However, I like the newer versions as it is more DB.

Was gonna say does Gohan do special beam cannon, but I think that's Goku doing IT (Gohan''s father is a brilliant technician). Makes me think they could have Gohan do Makankosappo.

Piccolo looks like Lord Slug (I'm viewing this page in grey scale, so can't see the orange colour. Count yaself lucky you can see in colour. Very useful. Would life be as enjoyable and exciting in greyscale?).
