Zeta is better, easily so. But ultimately, Kanzenshuu is easily the purest Dragon Ball Forum out there, and that's why F and Zeta are better than it, on Kanzenshuu you eat Dragon Ball, drink Dragon Ball, breath it, and because of that the forum becomes boring as you can only debate and talk about one series. There isn't really a community in Kanznenshuu, it's just Dragon Ball.

Hmmmm, probably Freeza Arc or somewhere earlier on in Dragon Ball. However, stuff like Vegeta's character arc makes the Boo arc in a sense necessary.

Of Dragon Ball, pre Raditz? I'd give it a solid 7 out of 10, while suffering from boring parts like Red Ribbon arc, it was ultimately a fun solid ride, that achieved what it set out to be, just pure simple fun.

I wouldn't say Vegeta's character arc made the Boo Arc necessary. Sure, it was better than anything the Cell Arc did with him, but his death against Freeza was already enough to consider his character had come full circle without directly changing into something completely different. His Boo Arc development was the logical next step, but not entirely necessary, especially when his role in the arc resulted in some very unnecessary regressions such as the whole Majin Vegeta segment.
If anything, I'd say the Boo Arc's necessity was more justified for how it treat Mr. Satan, having him go from a one-note gag character into the most engaging character of the arc by relying on getting by through his opportunistic personality rather than asspull power ups.

Considering you weren't around to partake in the Arc Rating/Review thread, what are your thoughts and ratings for all the arcs of DB and Z? Can separate their anime and manga selves if you believe there's much of a divide for certain arcs.

My replies are gonna be short, and sometimes there won't even be a review. It's been awhile since I've read Dragon Ball, and I've forgotten most of the details.

Hunt for the Dragon Balls: Easily the most tightly written arc out of them all, and has the most unique structure by being an adventure as well. It's also undisputedly the funniest out of all the arcs. 8/10

Strongest Under the Heavens: The best training montage in all of Dragon Ball/Z/Super/GT, the fights are jam packed, inventive and funny. Ant it has my favourite fight in all of the franchise, Master Roshi V Goku. 8/10

Red Ribbon Arc: Most of this arc is boring and drawn out being a few exceptions, Tao Pai Pai and General Blue being those exceptions. Kid Goku isn't really capable of being the main focus of an arc, he's uninteresting and nearly 2dimensional, and his naivety gag only works in a group. 6/10.

King Piccolo Arc: Pretty fun and dramatic all around, but Ultra Divine Water is a terrible plot device. 7/10.

23RD Bodukai: I've actually forgotten most of this arc, so uh, no review.

Saiyan Arc: I'd actually like to talk about Raditz here, I usually see people talking about how he was wasted because he was Goku's brother. But Raditz pretty much served to prove a point, how vile the Saiyans are, and how even Goku's brother, his own flesh and blood is nothing like him. Besides that it's a very good arc. 8/10.

Namek Arc: Where the series started to revel in it's bad habits, transformations galore, and incredibly fast escalation to the point of ridiculousness. However, the first half of this arc is really good, by kicking Goku out of the picture and instead focusing on Vegeta, Krillin and Gohan, you manage to get a great character dynamic, and a ton of tension in everyway. Of course this was ultimately wasted with the Ginyu Force, those entire existence served to reintroduce Goku, sloppily too. 6/10.

Cell Arc: Utter shit. 1/10.

Boo Arc: Had the luxury of having Early DB's tone, and didn't take itself too seriously. 4/10/
