I think I've seen you mention that you like Dre somewhere. Been too long since I've listened to any Dre tbh. He released that Compton album like 2 weeks and I had no idea that it was even a thing until like yesterday. And considering that his last album was released in 1999 (almost said 2001 lol)...yeh. I do like Dre though, but I'd have to say I prolly prefer Ice Cube.

Well I guess if you take into account Dre's production then there's a case to be had. I dunno, like I said, been too long since I listened to any Dre. Still, I've always felt that production was more Dre's forte than rapping and vice versa for Cube.

"let me ride" is 1 of my fav songs. the production (tune) on the song was just so epic, even-tho the lyrics weren't rly that gr8, in my opinion, of-course.

Hard to say, honestly. Should say that I don't know a lot about production. Dre is probably more refined and produces some of the cleanest stuff ever and he's basically become a production legend, but Kanye's nothing to sneeze at.

Nah. Funny story about that, I went to this small movie theater with a friend to try and catch the Freeza movie because he was gonna leave town for college two days after that and he wanted to see it, but when we got there the tickets were sold out. Straight Outta Compton was also playing there, although we also showed up too late for that. We ended up going to another theater and watching the fifth Mission Impossible film.

Sure, I'll watch it sometime for sure.

Probably Nas. Illmatic is one of my favorite rap albums ever and one of the few that I think have no "dud songs," if that makes sense. Then again, it was relatively short, but at least I never come across a song that I'd rather skip. Nas really has a way with words and imagery. Eminem is pretty good too, though, clever lyricist and he can go with a lot of styles, and his flow used to be flawless. Eminem's fallen off lately though. I haven't listened to much of MMLP2, but although he seems to be picking up the pace lyrically by a bit again from what I can make out based on his EP with Royce, his flow just ain't the same. Plus he kinda sounds the same in all of his songs. That said, I haven't seriously listened to a Nas album since "Hip Hop is Dead" and I heard that in one of his recent tours he was apparently going around performing tracks off of Illmatic, so maybe he's fallen off a lot too.
