I agree, I think Super Saiyan Gogeta can take this. I think he's weaker than Vegetto by a solid margin, but nowhere near as much as advertised.

I think something like this should be in order...

Seems kind of redundant for the Potara to be stronger if it's by such a small amount. If Gogeta and Vegetto can both beat Boo with the same form, then what's even the point of even making one stronger than the other?

In a narrative perspective, Boohan being stronger than a hypothetical Gogeta makes sense and that Potara fusion was the only way to defeat him.

Potara wasn't created to blow out Fusion. It is an alternative that's even better. Doesn't have to be tremendously better. It's debatable. Many think that Potara > Fusion is drastically oversold.

I think if it's going to be stronger, it might as well be a lot stronger. Go big or go home. I can't technically prove your point wrong either, though, so I guess it's just a preference to have Potara a lot stronger.

Nothing wrong with that, many feel the opposite, that the different fusion wasn't overly hyped, so it shouldn't be overly powered. Remember, at the level I suggested, Vegetto could defeat 3 Gogetas easily. That's quite the boost.

There was no time to learn the fusion dance.

What Goku thought could be done in Super Saiyan, could be done in Base. Don't forget Base Gokan >> Buutenks.

I definitely have Gogeta weaker than Vegetto, as it is outright stated by the Old Kaioshin. If I just use the same formula for Goku and Vegeta fusing like Trunks and Goten, I end up with SS3 Gogeta having a definitive edge over Gohan-Boo, so I've always just gone with that.

The only issue with that is that Goku is thinking Super Saiyan Gokan can defeat Buutenks.

Thanks to Old Kaioshin's statement about their rivalry, I still get the feeling Goku + Vegeta is just a better fusion than Goku + Gohan.



All that shit was so vague anyways, that part was so rushed. Even the artwork was pretty bad in some spots.
