The boys are beyond Piccolo by a large margin. They should be well ahead of Vegeta and Trunks level at the Cell Game.

I think Gohan has a harder time with Goten and Trunks than Vegeta does with Dabura and Gohan. Goten is pretty damn close to Gohan.

Piccolo's reaction isn't the best way to judge the kids strength especially how Piccolo is seems to be weaker than Kaioshin who is worthless to the Base Saiyajins and that's another topic.

Maybe you need to go back to the hole you crawled out of. Your knowledge of Broly is far superior to anything you have going on for the actual canon.

1) Piccolo was able to hold his own against a Cell Junior.
2) Piccolo is blown away by Goten and Trunks power.
3) Goten was able to push Gohan, Trunks able to push Vegeta.

Piccolo is literally in awe of his power. How many times is that the case and the fighter is not stronger? Vegeta with Goku in the Saiyan Saga is the only one I can think of.

I see no reason for the Kids to be >> Piccolo, they are considered impressive while no one gives a fuck about Piccolo's power at all.
