I watched DragonBall before DragonBall Z (since it aired before DragonBall Z was on TV), so I have even more liking for it maybe. But both are gr9 series from when I was a child.

Your memory of the fight isn't very good then. This was before Daimao went full power later as well.

Viz translation is that he could barely follow it. When they go full power he comments it's too much, but he's still able to physically react to piccolo's blast and save goku.

I have my RAW scans from dragonballcn and they read Tenshinhan couldn't see at all, sorry. Same as Ryan's quote. I posted the English fanslation because it was more or less accurate to the original dialogue in this case.

I bought yesterday all of the mangas concerning the early Dragon Ball era and reread it all yesterday, so I'm pretty good about the 22nd Budokai (which was always a headache to me) and the 23rd Budokai, so I'm pretty good on this subject.

Only missing the Boo saga to complete my collection.

Yeah I should have checked the strength checker for that quote, but given the rest of the volume it seemed obvious that tenshinhan could see their movements even after they powered up.
