Piccolo's "Real Nigga Card" got revoked the moment he backed down from bitchass Kaioshin.

He already lost it when he didn't have the balls to attack SPC. :troll :troll

The most useful thing Piccolo does in the Boo arc is destroy all the cameras at the Budokai. It's a shame he becomes human-tier trash.
That turned out to be useless considering Gohan's classmates found out the Great Saiyaman was Gohan during his match against Kibito :alex2

Scratch that.

He lost it the moment he begged for Goku to tell him how useless he would be against Cell :troll

I wonder why Piccolo didn't try to attack SPC considering even fricking base Vegeta could budge him and influence the outcome.

That was the best Piccolo.

Dude just got killed by Nappa, yet he's already talking about how he's going to get strong enough to wipe out Freeza alongside Goku. Kaio couldn't believe what he was hearing.

Fuck. That Piccolo was the MVP.

And when he told Vegeta he was going to kill him after he finishes Freeza? That guy was badass as fuck.

Honestly, Piccolo's badass days ended when Cell came out of the water without a scratch.

Do you think Piccolo got his personality changed after fusing with Kami?

For sure.

He still seemed like Piccolo during his fight with Cell and #17, but everything went downhill afterwards. He thought Semi-Cell's power was so abnormal that the Saiyans would have no chance, even with rosat training. There were times when Piccolo thought someone was too powerful to handle (Nappa and 4th Form Freeza), but he never had a problem changing his mind if he had the opportunity to improve. Once he went into the rosat, he just accepted that he'd be of no use no matter how much power he gained. He basically gave up right from the get go.

That, and his smile to Popo when leaving after the fusion, whilst a mercy from Kami, still showed an artificial change. His previous self would simply leave and at most say a slight word of comfort to Popo.
The same applies for his fusion with Nail. Before it, he was still a primarily stoic and brooding character, with the only ally he seemed to care for beyond their usefulness being Gohan. After it, he was smiling and laughing with the rest after Freeza's supposed death.

"It won't affect your personality" my ass.

When it comes to Nail, I don't really believe the Fusion affected his personality. He pretty much saw Goku and Gohan as allies and even admitted that both of them softened him up during the Saiyan saga. The parts where Nail seemed to come out was when he talked about avenging the Namekians that Freeza killed when he removed the weights, or acknowledging that Guru and the other Namekians finally resting. Makes sense considering he'd receive that knowledge directly from Nail, but Piccolo already began to show a strong connection to his heritage when he landed on Namek.

Outside of those moments, being ready to challenge Vegeta on Earth, telling everyone that he'll finish #20 off because he's not soft like Goku, and the way he talked to Kami on the Lookout pretty much shows he was still the Piccolo we all loved.

^Very well put, I have also had the feeling that fusing with Nail also changed Piccolo's personality somehow. He still seemed more pragmatic after the Nail's fusion considering he still was with a bad feeling on their way to fight the androids, whereas in the Saiyajins saga when Nappa and Vegeta were in their way to fight them he said to Gohan not to worry since they are way more powerful than before. Meh, I might be forcing things a little.

It seemed to be more in regard to his actions as a comparison to his 23rd TB self if anything. After all, he never seemed to present the same respect or affection to anyone but Gohan during the Saiyan Arc.

Makes sense considering he'd receive that knowledge directly from Nail, but Piccolo already began to show a strong connection to his heritage when he landed on Namek.
Which in itself is contrived when he had no knowledge or interest in his heritage before this.

I guess his few days with Kaio could've made him more eager to learn about it.

Piccolo did tell Gohan he wanted to avenge the Namekians on his own home world, after all.

The 1st time Piccolo began to change was in the Raditz saga... that was the only change that was noticed as well, in which Kami stated he isn't the old Piccolo anymore since Raditz soul went to the other world. I think he definitely changed post Kami, and the Daizenshuu kind of backed it up by stating picc grew accustomed ro peace iirc.

I recall Gohan saying that Goku said Piccolo wasn't that evil compared to Daimao as well. That was during their training.

Yeah, Gohan said that. But that ought to have been a comparison between Piccolo Junior in the 23rd Budokai and his father, considering Gohan was basing it off of what Goku said and Goku couldn't have said it to him after Piccolo begun to change in the Raditz saga. So, Piccolo Jr. in the 23rd Budokai is less evil than his father, at least according to Goku, which makes sense considering that, even though due to Kami, Goku didn't find too troublesome letting Piccolo be free and fly away rather than stucking him into the jag.
