I've seen some people say Cell quickly sent his nucleus down to his gut lol.

I just take this as a contradiction. There's no way the nucleus could've still been around if it's located there.

Yeah, but since it's so small maybe we just couldn't see it? But yeah, he regenerated from his gut, whereas he should have regenerated from his nucleus.

Either it's way, it's a contradiction. Cell didn't expect Goku to teleport so he could quickly launch the Kamehameha. He was focus on thinking Goku would actually launch the Kamehameha from an distance that it could destroy the planet.

Maybe Cell's regeneration evolved beyond Namek tier regen by becoming perfect? There is no valid explanation that doesn't require contradicting his statement.

Did Freeza power up when he raised his speed against Vegeta? Piccolo is absolutely shocked by the fact that Freeza kicked back his full power blast.

I don't believe so. Based on what Goku said, Vegeta's Chi getting smaller after becoming huge seems to be the focal point more so than Freeza's power. He actually question how strong Freeza is based on how quickly Vegeta was overwhelmed. My guess is none of them had a good read on Freeza's power, so it didn't really appear all that impressive.

But you also have Piccolo questioning how Vegeta was able to see Freeza's beams. Almost like a power-up wasn't obvious to him like it was to Goku.

Is it just me or Vegeta isn't as cocky as he's made out to be?

Trough the series he's a really tactical guy and only underestimate his opponents because he isn't aware of their strength (He didn't know Zarbon and Freeza's true powers, for example). The only time he actually was an arrogant fuck was Post Rosat because plot needed Cell to reach perfection.

He was pretty arrogant before the RoSaT as well, when he achieved SSJ. He gave two fuckings towards Trunks' warning and decided to go out there and face the 3 androids alone, and later stated they should allow Cell to become perfect so it'd spare time considering they'd have just one foe to kill, even though (as pointed out by Piccolo) he couldn't even handle one android alone.

I agree that he seemed way less of a cocky bastard and a more pragmatic one in the Freeza saga and whilst it's possible Akira Toriyama was just not consistent with his personality, you could say that him turning SSJ just made him cockier than he used to be, as according to his Freeza's saga monologues he believed the SSJ was the peak of power that no other warrior could reach, and even Piccolo -- after Vegeta losing to #18 -- said he recovered his confidence after becoming a SSJ.

But i'm pretty sure his arrogance on the Android Arc is more a personality trait for unlocking the Super Saiyan, a mix of Vegeta's pride being recovered and the wild feelings the SSJ itself awakens.

He certainly was! He wouldn't be Vegeta otherwise. The main difference is that on Namek, Vegeta knew when to fold'em and could actually fathom that there were people stronger than him out there, and acted accordingly.

Of course, that's just who Vegeta is. But on Namek he was a really tactical guy, his peak on stratregies and smartness was there.

The thing is, people try to say Vegeta is not reliable because he's arrogant, what is total bullshit.

Even so, Vegeta still knew that this form wasn't enough to allow Trunks to defeat the androids. Him of all people should have known better.

There's also him noticing the flaws of Grade 3, though this may be more a matter of Trunks being stupid than Vegeta being smart.
