Yep, Jack told me about the Legendary Kenshi of old and I had found him out of the blue on Pojo. Kenshi still knows his shit, but he was one of the original elites back from MFG days I think.

Yea, but that was then. Jack was probably a noob and Kenshi was the only one who knew what he was talking about on MFG and that's how Jack learned. Others know the history better, I think KP was even there for a little? Not sure. But yea, this DBZ forum shit was full of noobs forever at least regarding power leveling shit. Kenshi was one of the few kicking ass. Evil Vegeta I think is a don from those days as well? He would probably give you a much more accurate retelling of the story. Evil Vegeta that is you from days past is it not?

Yeah, it's Evil Vegeta. EV has said he used to post a lot on MFG, surpassing 8,000 posts. Jack also held EV in a pretty high regard, one of the best ever.

Yea there were a couple of dons during that day. Jack was just coming up during then. But for me, I started a revolution on Neo and went to war with every forum on it and took a psychotic breakdown using a damn microscope of power levels and it's been war ever since. We found long lost Kenshi and now long lost EV, just waiting on Vic and Jack to come back now.

Things we consider normal now, were considered way too over obsessive by everyone back then. 90% means this battle, this character said this, so this must be this. Transformation A looks bigger than Transformation B, these thoughts were like banned back in the day.

Doubtful. People have lives. Better shit to do. Can't live here forever. Everyone spending major time here is wasting their fucking time hiding from what they should be doing. Except for people like Yoshi, Moocow who seriously can't do anything else of course. But you regular joes need to get in the world and do something. Conquer fucking something jesus christ

Haha, yeah, MFG was the golden days where we'd have debates like crazy. Kenshi (when he wasn't banned lol), Jack, KP, etc. I know I'm forgetting lots of people, but those mentioned are the ones that are here on Zeta. That site was what turned me into a hardcore debater. The discussions were endless. Never a dull moment there. Hard to believe that was almost 10 yrs ago.

Same here brother. Glad to finally meet you. What made you depart and what made you come back?

I would always be around reading the forums, but aside from being busy with usual things, the motivation just wasn't there. One day, I sat down and read through a few chapters of the Freeza saga, then it felt like I was reading the story all over again. It felt pretty cool getting back into the Manga after being away from it for a good while.

Whether I appear to briefly lose interest or not, Dragon Ball is just a series I'll always love. It was a huge part of my childhood. Knowing that, I could never stay away from discussions forever. I enjoy reading things from a different perspective and changing my thought process when it comes to certain things, too.

I always enjoy hearing the history lessons from back then, it must have been much more fun when all the beliefs were still up for debate and not as set in stone. I joined during a pretty active time of late 2012, so I can't complain, but the community died off from there pretty fast and has never been able to regain the same amount of fun or hype. Interesting how Battle of Gods seemingly brought hundreds more people to the forums, yet a completely new series in Super isn't doing much. It's sad to see.

That being said... do you think yearly, or bi-yearly movie releases would've helped the franchise more than Super?

Personally, if they were well written, I believe it would've been a superior option. Even if some were mini-series... allowing a slightly longer arc to be told... <shrug>

I'd say it depends. I think FnF took a lot of steam out of the growing DB movement because it was so bad, so if Toei were consistently releasing movies of that calibre, it would kill the series just as fast.

If the Super manga keeps releasing every weak then that would bring a lot of discussion since nobody gives a shit about the Super anime's consistency.

Yeah I generally watch Super once a week or every few weeks, but in a "I guess I have to" or "at least it gives me something to do" kind of way. Tho I can't foresee it ever getting as gay as it did in the FNF arc (or the movie for that matter).
