Does Kamiccolo's reaction to the kids powering up really implies they are stronger? It looks a lot like Vegeta's reaction to >8k Goku:

I don't think so considering Piccolo say the kids were their last hopes and their feats against Vegeta and Gohan shows they're up there with the 3 Saiyans.


Also, iirc, before the kids power up, Trunks say they're going to surprise them and he was half right. Piccolo was definitely surprise.

One can argue Kamiccolo's reaction wasn't of inferiority, though. And they do have a point because Vegeta was shaking as well.

But Kamiccolo's reaction still looks more impressive. He's taken aback by the kids' power, and the ground Vegeta is looks to be shaking while Kamiccolo is shaking by himself.

You have to look at the context here.

In Vegeta's situation, he didn't expect Goku to surpass Nappa who is a respected in terms of Saiyan powers and especially with Goku being a low class warrior.

Piccolo's situation is different. He already expected these kids to be so strong but the kids surpasses his expectation. Moreover, the kids can keep up with Gohan is definitely stronger than Piccolo so there's that.

If they expected FP Goku to be belos Nappa why did Nappa shit a brick at 5k Goku then? And he's not trash to Galu, Vegeta thought he could beat him.

Like I said, its more about denial that a low class Goku is so strong and that's a huge feat. Whether Goku is stronger or weaker than Nappa is irrelevant, what matters is that a 5K battle power is something that a low Saiyans can never achieve. More arrogance than anything.

Piccolo doesn't consider Krillin and the others as a weakling because he found them useful against the Saiyans but in case of Vegeta and Nappa to call Raditz as a weakling seems to imply that Raditz is useless too.
