Gap between Goku and Gohan @ Cell Games

Initially he probably only raised his speed, but I don't have a problem with him powering up later in the fight, when he got kicked in the face.

I don't see it that way. It's not like he's necessarily hitting Gohan at full-speed.

When he raised his speed, he used it to catch Gohan:

Me and ahill had a long discussion about this awhile back. I just think the attributes are separate to the point where one can choose to raise it whenever. That's why I always look at the Reacoom example to show that someone could increase it without their power having to change.

Cell seemed more amused after being kicked, if anything. I think he might've increased his effort to piss Gohan off, but that's about it.

It'd definitely make getting hit hurt less. It'd also help him cause Gohan more pain, to get him angry.

Nah, Cell just says he will bring out Gohan's rage after that kick, and starts firing Death Beams then flies in and grabs Gohan. He tries to crush Gohan and then drops him and flies towards the rest of the gang, Gohan just gets up and screams and Cell to stop. Cell kicks him in the face after and sends Gohan into a rock, then gets grabbed by 16. Gohan still doesn't really look like he gives a shit about Cells attacks after, he's just curious as to what 16 is doing. If Cell powered up, why isn't Gohan taking more damage? He still just looks the same as he did after Cell's Kiai'd him into those rocks.

I don't buy it.

Well if you don't think Gohan is taking any damage from Cell's attacks, then I don't really have a problem.

He just keeps getting back up though, never breaths hard, never grabs a part of his body where Cell hits him.
