Is your iPad being trash or are you already drunk

My favorites probably go in this order:

1. Zoro
2. Robin
3. Sanji (although if some of this bs post-TS keeps up he'll fall a peg or two)
4. Luffy
5. Nami
6. Franky
7. Usopp
8. Brook
9. Chopper
My list is the exact same lol.

Really? Cool. Although I am tempted to lower Sanji, he's been pissing me off this arc.

Fishman Island was making me sick so I just reread the other arc with fishmen in it, Arlong Park, real quick.

If you think FI is bad, just wait until you get to Dressrosa.

Doesn't matter how integral it is to the plot, with Doflamingo's importance as a character, as well as the Straw Hats' reputation once they get off Dressrosa, it is easily the most disappointing Arc yet, as well as one of the worst along with early East Blue Arcs and the Davy Back Fight Arc.

Hell, I've already written my thoughts on it twice on this forum in my Dressrosa reading log thread, as well as a rant thread about it. It was so frustrating to see what One Piece had become after its glory days I had to put it on hold.

Besides, Skypiea is more important than Dressrosa and a better Arc overall, and you call it shit, worse than Dressrosa.

Most of what's in OP is important, there are still low points. Skypeia is one of the most integral arcs in the series and half the fanbase does not like it. Definitely more integral than anything up until that point.

Why is it important?

No other Arc in One Piece elaborated on the series' history than Skypiea.

Meh, I guess. I learned more about the history from CP9 imo.

Skypiea foreshadows some things that I shouldn't spoil just yet. Skypiea is also important in regards to the ancient civilization and the government. I don't recall very well though, and it's something that's better understood when you know what to look for. I don't think CP9 tells us as much, if memory serves. CP9 kinda just told us that there was a civilization and a conflict.

Edit: I don't know if you've gotten to the cover panels with Enel yet, but I predict that those'll be important as well. That's kinda linked to Skypiea.

Oda's cover panels almost always show what other people are doing and things like that. You ever notice it before? He's been doing it since they beat Buggy.

Yes, I pay attention to them. I just didn't realize that they were relevant.

There were a few about that Octopus guy from Arlong Park, some about Buggy, some about Jango, several about Crocodile and the numbers, and that's all that I can recall.

Dressrosa has the best flashback in the series yet.

The only stuff i liked from FI are the flashback of Jinbei/Fish Tiger and the end of the arc with Big mom :alex

I will say that I think you need to give Dressrosa a little more credit. It suffered all the pitfalls you mentioned, but I would give it some credit here and there.

Still, Part II has been mostly disappointing. The Fishman Island arc was horrendous, for one. It wasn't nearly as dragged out as Dressrosa, but the pacing was terrible. Sanji became a twat to force the plot forward. Chopper's idiocy broke the limit at the start of this arc. I don't like Usopp's new plant powers, they were introduced hastily and poorly and it just seems like an easy way to make him relevant later (of course they just make him a pussy all over again later on, just because Usopp). He's not the only one who seems to have regressed. The cast just seems simplified in general. Nami and Robin's tits are ridiculous. And although Robin and to a lesser extent Franky's new designs have grown on me, I still miss the older ones. I never liked Brook, but I like him even less now. The series has gotten more self-indulgent. The villain in Fishman Island was fuggin pussy and just overall sucked, as was the villain at Punk Hazard. Both still contain important plot points, moreso than Thriller Bark at least, but I still think that those two arcs are the worst OP has to offer.

As you said before, many characters just feel thrown in. CP-0 feels thrown in and was clearly never intended to exist. The Donquixote guys were underwhelming as hell. I don't really like Rebecca and feel like she got too much panel-time. That one whatshisface random guy (Chinjao or whatever the fuck) having Conqueror's Haki makes the fact that Luffy had it feel much less important, because this guy is a nobody, and it makes the ability feel less unique. The new admirals feel thrown in and I don't care about them. A lot of people feel thrown in and I don't care about them.

Still, Oda's continuity is still impressive, he's not entirely lost track of his plan as he still foreshadows/has shown us things that were foreshadowed in the past, so yeah. I expect One Piece to pick up somewhere down the line, but as of now I'm not too impressed. I would talk more about the positives, but post-TS OP has gotten me in a foul mood and I also have some things to do, so yeah.
