I've barely played any of the actual game since I've just been joining in on my friend's 3-5 star raids using a few mons that I got from trades. I only got far enough to get a league card.

Anyone know what type: null is? I just got one for free and haven’t heard of it before. Can it change types?

Evolves through friendship and the evo can change types depending on its hold item.

Such as? If you've got anything particularly rare then sure, if only for completing the dex faster.

I would call these games underwhelming but I had low expectations already so that wouldn't be accurate. But yeah they're underwhelming, but playable since the core gameplay loop has been the same for 20+ years. If I didn't have friends to play the game with it'd be a lot more dull. Otherwise the singleplayer is about as uninspired as XY. Hell, I'm in a cave right now (a mine to be exact) that just looks like a revamped Glittering Cave from XY.

I was going to boot up the game today since it’s apparently snowing/hailing everywhere for Christmas but ended up just playing SoulSilver all day instead.

So, it seems the Gen 8 games are getting DLC.

This is good since opening up a post-game region seems quite natural and it does allow for a lot of old Pokemon to return, including new forms for the Legendary bird trio, more Gigantomaxes and some new Pokemon. However, it raises the important question of why weren't these just put in the base game? At least Game Freak aren't charging you the price of a full game this time for what amounts to add-ons though.

My question is why did they bother creating the Let’s Go games if they were unable to sufficiently develop the new generation? Should the first instalment of a new generation not take precedence? Hell, let’s go felt more detailed in some aspects.

DLC is definitely welcomed tho.

The let’s go games were shit. Almost didn’t buy Shield because of it. Looking forward to these expansions, mostly for the Galar Bird Trio.
