That was a good chapter. The art seemed much better and more consistent all around.
Sanji will be fighting Queen so he'll finally get a moment to shine. Looks like Kid and Law will team up against Big Mom which makes a lot more sense than Kid doing it alone. And Nami ended up retaining Zeus somehow which is good.
Also something from last chapter that I just recalled. When Luffy lost it was said that the person with the highest bounty had been defeated. I guess that's confirmation that Marco is < 1.5 billion? I find that hard to believe honestly when the likes of Queen are above 1.3 billion.
So, we at least get the explanation for Chopper's performance being that Queen was messing around. Unfortunately, this continues the common trend of Queen (and most of Kaido's crew) being childishly incompetent when being in the same vicinity as someone of Marco's level and having already failed with his virus plan leaves every reason not to mess around. Also, Sanji is suddenly powerful enough to do some damage to him and will seem to have a fair fight against him despite having gone through no training or obvious power up after having been overpowered by Big Mom's subordinates in the previous arc, so one sudden plot hax is replaced with another one .
Also, of course Kinemon survived Kaido's serious attack with how plot armour is in the series. He'll probably get up from the stab wound soon enough too . Speaking of which, I did find it funny that Sanji immediately dismissed the rumour Luffy was dead due to how many miracles have happened. Oda can't even make an attempt to hide the fact that Luffy has top tier plot armour now and knows it's best to just have it out in the open .
The confrontations at the end of the chapter will hopefully lead to better pacing, focus and plot progression in the next few chapters at least.
I feel like it definitely won't given Momo's recent proclamation. Have a feeling that Onigashima will be dropped onto Wano somehow tho. No idea how that will go lol.
It feels like Oda is being a bit self aware about how much resolve everyone is having all of a sudden. As if it's actually going to not be the case and Luffy gets his ass folded again in front of everyone. That would be amazing writing since it goes against the grain of this series.
How would you handle that scenario? Kaido is willing to kill anyone who stands in his way now as can be seen by stabbing Kinemon. I feel like if Luffy goes down there's no scenario where the rest of the crew/alliance could survive.
