I was reading the manga at first actually, I got up to where Goku fought Botamo and then I just kinda stopped following it cause the anime caught up.

The manga seems to be following the anime's events more closely from here on out, but Toyotaro is definitely handling it a lot better. He must've been mad at how the anime screwed the last 6-7 episodes last arc and decided to take these liberties

Let's see if Vegeta surpasses Goku here with the RoSaT and if he stays ahead of Goku for more than 1 and 1/2 episodes.

Chapter is pretty good, IMO. The artwork looks like it's improving, as well.

Agreed, if this chapter is any indication, his last act for the Black arc is shaping up to be quite a bit better than the animes. The fact he's gotten rid of Ikari and the Spirit Sword is definitely a good indicator of this.

That chapter was sweet! Killing Gowasu thrice is SUPER!!!!

So more on the events of this chapter, it's clear Gowasu will probably lie there half dead until goku comes around and heals him with a senzu (like how he protected the Kai duo in the anime). I think the "I forgot the seal!!1!" faggotry will be ignored and Goku would likely seal Zamasu only for Black to reveal he's alive after the trio mop the floor with him and break the jar to fuse into Merged Zamasu. Vegetto will likely destroy Zamasu's body instead of that awful super magic friendship sword, I presume.

I wouldn't mind Trunks dealing the finishing blow if the fight with Vegetto leaves Fused Zamasu with barely any Ki left. At least it seems apparent that the Genki Sword isn't going to happen now that Trunks and Mai are the only mortals left on Earth.

The genki dama technique in general should never reappear at this point. It was considered ineffectual against anyone after Freeza, only being useful against Boo (and even then not as efficient as simply calling Gotenks and Gohan) because of Satan's help, and lord knows how pathetically weak Boo is to anyone remotely relevant in Super. Unless Vegetto is the one that creates a Genki Dama and can convert it to god ki somehow, the technique should be long since forgotten.

They'll always find a way to squeeze the Genki Dama into a climactic battle regardless of logic, considering how much Toei likes playing the nostalgia card in Super. If they do it as a Universal Genki-Dama like in GT, it would make some sense, or maybe even a Multiversal one, though anything less would definitely be completely lacking in logic or progress.

While true, we saw how cancerous an unexplained Genki Dama was (reaching Movie 8 levels of stupidity) so it'd be nice if there's something that requires us to suspend our disbelief a lot less next time.

We've already seen a pseudo Genki Dama sword hax rage attack thing. That attack killed Merged Zamas' physical form, and that was from like 20 people. A universal Genki Dama in Super would be Zen-oh tier.
