Well in RL, we don't have proof for anything more than one planet lol.

It's weird but we have clear proof of more than 4 galaxies. I'm super rusty on that though because that was debated more on the obd back around ep 13 because of the potential of Goku being universal (which it was concluded he was obv)

The clear proof came episodes later

I mean they also said Boo wiped out hundreds of planets by himself (which would mean Beerus sat on his ass while he wiped out like 90% of the universe essentially), not to mention the Saiyans conquered loads of planets and sold them to other intelligent beings lol. 28 seems far too low, 280 I could buy.

I guess I could make up my headcanon and say Babidi and Dabura killed a bunch of people trying to see if their energy could revive Boo, but they treat the destruction of Namek, Sadla/Vegeta etc. as a bigger deal

The Anime had Goku Black, a nice mystery, and emotional moments honestly if you ignored the second half the arc is amazing.

The Black arc was perfect until Trunks's bullshit sword at the end IMO.

You are seriously saying that the anime version of that saga, the only one I can remember where a plot hole was introduced in a nearly per-chapter basis coupled with the most inconsistent power scaling of the whole series, is a top 3 arc of DB? Wow (not that I'm discussing your preferences, but you can certainly call me surprised).
