Hit storyline will be good but probably won't beat Black storyline, it's like Freeza Arc and Cell Arc comparison.

So, Toyotaro decided against unveiling SSR for this chapter? I'm fine with it. Based on what's been leaked thus far, looks like it'll be an interesting chapter. I don't know what it is, but each panel/scene with Black, both in the anime and manga, outshine everything. His presence is chilling; especially in that show of what I assume is Trunks' flashback in the rain?

I wonder. Seems like the fight will go-on for sometime, but the manga'll over-take the anime soon. How long, though? I don't mind it, though because I like the pacing in the manga now so they can take their time.

True, but Goku-Black appearing to fight Goku seems like a perfect cutting-point. I guess I'm thinking of the anime.
Since it's been revealed how the fight'll go in the anime I guess there's no point in stalling that for the "big show-down".

Things we learned from 18th chapter of the manga.
1. Daishin is an angel similar to Whis.
2. Whis revealed to Goku that he's an angel, the only difference here is that he told this when they were in Zeno's world.
3. Whis revealed that he never fights outside of training.
4. Goku wants to investigate Black's identity and so he first investigated Kibito.
5. Goku never met Zamasu yet unlike the anime.
6. Kibito was contacted by Zuno and tells that Zamasu is asking questions about Goku and the Super DB.
7. Black's identity was revealed already before Goku met Zamasu or Black.
8. All the mysteries were revealed in this chapter alone.
9. Vegeta was pissed off that Zamasu chose Goku's body over him.
10. Bulma went with them in the 1st trip which likely means there would be just a 1 trip to the future.

It's a sad day when the anime does something better than the manga but I have to concede that it won out this time around. I don't even know what went wrong, did Toyotaro think this was a good idea or is he just really pressed for time that he can't do anything?

I've read the translations to the full chapter, and everything seems to be OK to me. His Goku not being a complete dunce that he'd leave the Senzu Beans is a relief for me. Also, Whis, Beerus, and Bulma correctly deciphering the mystery around Black makes sense, considering it was Present Zamasu who gave himself away as he asked Zuno if it were possible to switch the body of a god to a mortal. Granted, Manga Present Zamasu was a fool for giving away his intentions so bluntly to Zuno, seeing as Anime Present Zamasu was more cautious.
I very much prefer this outcome over Black simply confirming himself who he actually is in one chapter. So, since they correctly theorized his origin, it's more of a "well, the cat's out of the bag" situation for Black. At the end of the day, it doesn't matter what they figure out about him. Whether they deal with Present Zamasu (which has no effect on him), or any other Zamasu is of no concern to him. The deed has been done. He has attained what he wanted, and will mostly certainly be set on eliminating both Goku and Vegeta so they could interfere no longer.
But, aside from that, Beerus wrongfully assuming that Kibito was somehow involved only to be proven wrong, yet shifts the blame on Kaioshin is fucking gold. Though we didn't get much, let alone any action this chapter, it was pretty solid when it came to information. I'm expecting for next chapter to be pretty hectic.

Revealing Zamasu's identity that fast sounds lame as hell to me (albeit somewhat understandable as the manga runs on a monthly schedule), which is what I assume ekrolo was pissed about.
Granted, the whole deal with Zamasu --> Black somehow hinging on Beerus not erasing him (but still happening as long as he holds the ring of plot shielding) probably won't be as convoluted in the manga, but it's clear Toyo is rushing.
I'm going to wait for a translation to come out before I make any judgments though. Although I will say that the cast wrongfully assuming Zamasu just made a fake Goku clone only to be shocked sounded more intriguing than this, although the reveal afterwards was a paradox-filled mess.

SSJB Vegetto won't defuse in the manga hopefully, just starts losing after the Final whatever attack he used since it's apparently so draining. Trunks just uses the combined powers of... himself, Vegetto and Mai to deal the final blow? Who knows.
