Seems Goku and Vegeta are teaming up and it's not in base form for once. I bet it'll be many months before they finish off Gas though.

It's impressive how the current Granolah arc has just obliterated all interest in the DBS manga. Bravo
Chapter 84 seems better than GT just from the hype of Ultra Ego Vegeta teaming up with Ultra Instinct Galu and Gas being a boss and beating them back by himself tbh.

I honestly thought Ultra Instinct was gonna be shelved in favor of constant UI Blue and only used to finish Gas off in the end, I was pleasantly surprised that Gas actually looks like a threat unlike in that Bardock flashback.

Yeah, this is more like it now. Only bad thing about this chapter is how it follows up last month's. Goku and Vegeta are being motivated by Bardock's victory, and I hate to remember that asspull.

What I particularly like about the chapter is how it mocks the hiss people threw about Bardock's wish. Vegeta sounds like a whiny kid when he complains about Goku surviving and thriving.

Apparently Mega Instinct Vegeta and UI Goku were on the same level at first and didn't turn out to be any difficulty for Gas.

Then the combo hits started to make it a bit difficult for Gas. Everything seems to indicate that Mega Instinct Vegeta had become stronger.

Afterwards, Mega Instinct Vegeta charges up a Hakai which manages to give Gas a hard time. Then with the help of UI Goku, he just gives Gas a little more trouble, until Gas fights with all his power and throws the Hakai back at them.

So far, everything seems to indicate:

Gas (FP) > Mega Instinct Vegeta (Hakai) + UI Goku > Mega Instinct Vegeta (Hakai) >>> Mega Instinct Vegeta (Power Up) >>> Mega Instinct Vegeta (Initial) = UI Goku.

Finally we see that at the end of the Chapter, Gas was very easily defeating Mega Instinct Vegeta, until the latter increased his power again, to the level that Gas was impressed that Mega Instinct Vegeta was getting much stronger in combat .

Gas (FP) > Mega Instinct Vegeta (Hakai) + UI Goku > Mega Instinct Vegeta (Peak / Chapter 84) = Mega Instinct Vegeta (Hakai) >>> Mega Instinct Vegeta (Power Up) >>> Mega Instinct Vegeta (Initial) = UI Goku.

My question is if UI Goku got stronger the moment he sent the Hakai to the sky?

Getting passively stronger isn't part of UI's skillset so I don't think Goku got stronger. His UI is definitely even more honed than it was against Fagnolah though due to him learning how to halfway utilize it in Blue far better.

Perhaps the strength of the Hakai's push lost strength, as Gas released her to fight Mega Instinct Vegeta.

Did Goku realize he was being pushed toward the Cerealian city when the Hakai Ball was shot back at him? If he did, maybe Goku got a resolve hax to protect Granolah's last reminder of his people.

Yes, I just saw those scenes again and it seems like UI Goku got stronger to be able to save the Ceresian City. Anyway, I have UI Goku reaching the power of Mega Instinct Vegeta (Power Up 1).

Gas is only impressed by Vegeta's power surges, however, Gas didn't see Goku send the Hakai into the sky.

Yeah it looks like trying to protect Granolah's city caused his power to surge up a bit. Do you think Goku will keep this power up in chapter 85 @SIAD

I think so. Apparently Goku and Vegeta when they have sudden power increases, they end up keeping it. For example Goku SSJB (Enraged against Goku Black SSJR), later in the 3rd trip to the future, he didn't seem to be fodder compared to Vegeta SSJB (Post Rosat).

Anyway I have:

Gas (FP) > Mega Instinct Vegeta (Hakai) + UI Goku > Mega Instinct Vegeta (Peak / Chapter 84) = Mega Instinct Vegeta (Hakai) >>> Mega Instinct Vegeta (Power Up) = UI Goku (Peak / Chapter 84) >>> Mega Instinct Vegeta (Initial) = UI Goku.

Yeah Galu seemed to randomly keep the resolve boosts he got against Merged Zamasu, to the point that simply spamming Blue a few times in that 20 minute fight they had gave him the stamina required to use PSSJB after defusing. I think both Vegeta and Goku will increase their power through resolve boosts/asspulls similar to Bardock in the flashback and defeat Gas. Hopefully that'll be the end of this arc, unless they decide to play it smart and limit power inflation by having Elec also wish himself to be the strongest, fuse with Gas using Caulifla's Potaras or something and require Vegetto to take him down, making Zeno ban fusion from here on out so we don't have the conundrum of Beerus still being stronger than a UI or UE version of Vegetto or Gogeta.
