Same reason that most characters in Super are - the creators chose to exaggerate one of his character traits and make him one-dimensional through his naivete turned stupidity becoming his defining trait, the same as Roshi becoming a rapist, Boo caring only about food or Yamcha being reduced to a meme. Along with that, the predestined course for Super leading into (what's close enough to) the 28th TB at some point, there wasn't any major development they could give to Goku, so keeping him static throughout was inevitable.

I personally think that's just how they think Goku has always acted. Considering even in interviews Toriyama says that Goku was selfish.

Toriyama has also stated he didn't like how Toei were making Goku overly heroic. I think this is probably why the selfishness and lack of foresight he had in the Cell and Boo Arcs came about, and ultimately the catalyst for him becoming a joke in Super.

As far as genres go, mainly classical, rock and metal. As for favourite piece of music, Dvorak's New World Symphony No. 9 in e-minor (If you're unfamiliar, it's the classical music used when Luffy defeats Crocodile in the anime).

That's cool. Which bands of rock do you listen to?

Now that's a difficult question. I can laugh at quite a lot of immature things at times. I guess the most recent one that comes to mind is a question on the quiz show The Chase in which a question of ornithology phrased as "Which of these is a real tit?"

Teanacious D would be the main one. Other than that, it tends to be more individual songs than most of a band's catalogue.

Mentioned my thoughts of it in the Rate the Last TV Show/Film You Watched thread. Basically, I found the theme of the older generation not being able to adapt to the changes in lifestyle well done, the strategies Llewelyn and Anton did to combat each other to be very intelligent and realistic, the subversions of typical story structure to work well within the narrative and Anton Chigurh is one of, if not the, most well written villain in cinema.

Yeah, it's indeed a great movie. It speaks more to how police has become obsolete in battling the crime. In the past, they needn't even to carry a shotgun, while now such isn't enough. Crime has evolved in a way that police is always a step behind, being unable to comprehend the crime and its methods. Evil has the tendency to prevail.

Although I agree, why do you think Chigurh was so well written?

There are many things that make him unique, such as his intelligence, resourcefulness and his role as an unstoppable force. What allows him to stand out, however, is his code revolving around things such as his coin toss or not compromising when it comes to doing what he set out to. The way in which he treats the coin as an act of fate to guide him in his tasks is a very interesting take on the idea of a villain following their supposed "destiny". Most interesting is how this extends to the level he seems to put more importance on the coin toss than his own life in how he lets it guide him. To top it all off, the scene within the gas station store helps present how the value of something can change from the perspective of another or after fulfilling its purpose, with the coin he gave the man becoming "just a coin."
This focus on his code also extends to the idea of a price required for something in an exchange, with how he insists on having a kid take his money for the shirt to wrap his wound. This also helps show his contrast with Llewelyn, who took what he saw without paying a price when opportunistically taking the money. This shows Chigurh's personal honour and would even paint him as having more honour than the film's protagonist, whilst the film and book also show the downside to following a code too strictly in the damages his inability to compromise causes.
Along with all that, it helps that his use within the story was done sparingly, with enough to make the core areas of his character clear, yet not overused to the point of redundancy, despite him being easily the strongest area of the film/novel. It takes a lot of talent to craft a character so interesting from such limited screentime and a lack of explicit introspection.

Yea so, I made that one topic hoping to poke back at you all for constantly using the N word and bagging on black people, only to find the topic backfire with more racism towards blacks. Now I can take a joke but at this point it really looks like this forum has issues with blacks. As one I won't put up with the shit anymore. Say what you will but I think forums need a little bit of rules ore it will just fall apart. So I'm out this bitch.

Do you remember this old ass post and the tool that wrote it? :cage1
