It's still good but kind of butchered from the superior manga Golden Age. Still better than the trash in recent arcs of the manga. The soundtrack is the highlight of the show imo.

The soundtrack is fantastic. The 97 anime does some of the big moments quite well, but in the end it omits too much from the manga for me to say it was a great anime.
