Pouf only really showed his emotions through his En, which could be easily be chalked up to his diligence in guarding the King from Meruem's point of view. That, and the King was probably too obsessed with competing against Komugi in Gungi to care.

Anime-wise, definitely female. Manga-wise, it's pretty ambiguous, though Killua referred to Pitou as a "he" on a few occasions.

Probably due to the level of detail in both the setting and character's thoughts being something not suited for a weekly Shonen series, or a mainly visual medium altogether, much like with Death Note's big text walls.

Should Togashi finish the series in his lifetime, it's probably best he goes down the novel route from thereon.

I honestly done have the attention span to read it. Maybe it's good stuff, but I can't help but skip most of it.

Other than most of it being good reasoning as to why certain characters can/can't take certain actions on the ship, there's not much to take away from it. There's some interesting details about Nen beasts and the like, but they come off as too much of an infodump to really be immersive.

I agree it's too much detail and it might be a little straining, but I think it's worthy the effort. There're cool things about it and new informations that are really interesting. What I like about it is that it works with the psychological from each character and shows their line of thought, as well as really exploring the source of power (Nen), which completely lacks in series like Dragon Ball, imo. It's something you can see is well thought and the fights, as well as the characters' chanches of winning seems way more realistic than in One Piece, wherein it's put a lot of emphasis on just will power being what will lead you to victory, although not in all instances.

Lol, I imagine how annoyed you get when reading HxH. But yeah, I get that reading something we don't fuck understand is annoying as hell. I tried to read some of the Dark Continent and I got a little strained.

I was like that when reading Berserk at the Tower arc too.
