To be fair, for all the dumb stuff that seems to have been included in this, at least we can say that a new form has finally defeated a main villain. That hasn't been the case since, what? SSJ2 Gohan defeating SPC? The streak is over at last.

Don't know if anyone has seen the clip but Gohan kills Cell Max with the Beam Canon to the head. It blows a hole in Cell's dome, but most of the head is actually intact. Then he's dead. 98% of the body remains, so while I think he does have some regeneration, it's nowhere near the level of original Cell.

I haven't seen it but from the sound of it the original Cell would have been way more intimidating and it would made a lot more sense given the Saiyan and Freeza cells he has for him to get so powerful than making some random lab experiment who looks like Cell to be at that level.

No lol. But he’s so minimalistic about everything that he might as well still have the 6/10/15 scale in his mind. Merged Zamasu can be handled by two SSJBs in his draft and Jiren apparently isn’t much stronger than Goku and Vegeta

Late on this, but there's some dialogue discussion going on that Piccolo and Gohan both seem to agree that neither Goku nor Vegeta could have defeated Cell Max. Hard to tell for sure without more context, but from what I'm gathering, this seems to be implied at some point, though that could change as more people confirm or deny what they actually say.

Piccolo also compares the Gammas to Goku and Vegeta though, doesn’t he? When he talks to Bulma after picking up the senzu’s?
People keep making comparisons between the movie and the manga with potential unlock wishes, Giant Piccolo, Vegeta meditating, villains becoming good guys… Some say Toriyama was recycled the movie’s plot for the manga, but I think we all know Toyotaro just ripped his boss off

I dont see the point in having them put in "Cell" in this for this if he isn't really the Cell we all know.

Does this movie follow the anime's continuity? Because when Goku is talking about all the "amazing" beings out there he only counts Jiren, Broly and the Hakaishins and not the recent threats like Moro, Granola and Gas.
I also find it strange when they talk about how the Saiyans weren't much weaker than Jiren like he is still top tier when they have supposedly fought multiple enemies stronger than him at this point.
