I don't think he changed the boss himself, as it'd be too tedious to change the main villain of the series whose mystery you've been building up for over a decade, I just think he stopped taking questions about him since it'd ruin the series if a lot of ppl found out and a lot of the speculations were idiotic as hell, like Conan/Shinichi really being the boss (lol) or Kogoro, Agasa, Shinichi's dad and even Haibara and the police chief guy.

I think he said that sometime in the 2010s, 2011-2014 maybe.
I don't understand the Shinichi one. :troll :troll :troll

But the others I guess the idea is a twist ending where it's the one that was closest to you that turned-out to be the biggest enemy-cliché in mysteries. Even-though Shinichi's father for some-reason seems like a choice I could potentially see. He does seem kind-of disturbed.

Thank you

I don't even know why people went speculating that much to begin with, since no sensible author would give away the biggest plot twist in the whole manga in an interview even if they were just inches from the truth, and I'd get fed up too if people were just basically drawing lots to ask if random characters were the boss. He's even avoided answering questions about much less relevant details before, kind of like how JK rowling didn't answer if Snape really loved Harry's mom which a fan guessed ages before that twist was revealed.

True, but you can't really blame. Since he gets asked that in interviews a lot.

Are there any more Organization-Members revealed from now on? IIRC I've heard there's been a lot lately and spies (and double-agents) and stuff. There's definitely more recurring characters now than there was at the beginning. Seems almost confusing now with all the names, l0l.

I think there was a guy who seemed to be an evil BO member that was trying to kill Haibara but he turned out to be a CIA agent iirc. There's also some dude named Rum who's supposed to be the boss's right hand man, and his identity is a mystery atm even though I haven't kept up with Conan since plot progression is slower than a snail

When was the last time you watched?

Also I heard of someone named Bourbon, who's either a member or a double-agent. If we already got to the right-hand meng, isn't the next logical step the boss?

I read scattered chapters since there's too much filler in between, but I do know some of the main story points like the guy Haibara's sister dated not really dying, and stuff like that.

Akai Shuichi or so he's called. Something like that.

How'd you tier their intelligence?

tier 0
yusaku kudo

tier 1
shinichi
kaito-kid (i'm not sure whether he could actually be above shinichi, since he's out-smarted him quite a few times, iirc)
heiji
gin

tier 2
compotent kogoro mouri

& others i can't remember

i don't know where to rank the somewot new characters or haibara

Yeah Kaito Kid is stated to have an IQ of 400, but since in real life that's literally conceptually impossible for a human being (you'd have to be smarter than all humans to ever live to date, combined), I'd say that's just bullshitting for the sake of stressing he's really clever. I'd put him on par with or slightly higher than Shinichi.

If Yusaku isn't really the boss :troll I'd assume the boss is up there, since Gin has shown the ability to nearly match Shinichi as well and make Haibara look like a careless shit, and Vermouth and some other agents have shown themselves up in tier 2 I believe.

Shuichi Akai (Haibara's sister's partner) is also said to be intelligent, even-though how intelligent I don't know.

His sister is also a detective.

Would you say now Heiji and Shinichi are close to each-other? I remember in a case where Shinichi came-back, he solved the case right where-as Heiji came to the wrong conclusion, I thought that was definitive to show Shinichi is higher than Heiji. But since they've usually been figuring the cases around the same time. Heiji even figured the Osaka case sooner, because he got an important clue (the photo IIRC) sooner than Conan who was somewhere-else at the time.

I think Heijis below Shinichi by just a bit, plus he isn't the main character :elmo

That's true.

There's also another detective with blonde hair from another place, I think. I forgot his name. How good is he?

Also what about Kogoro Mouri's mentor? The old meng that came in the theatre-case. :troll :troll :troll

Can't blame you. That other detective hasn't been there in some-time, I think.

BTW, is the series back? I heard that the author was sick for sometime.

Idk, I don't keep up with it much but I assume he'd resume sometime since he isn't Togashi

That sounds about right.

Also do you know they are re-mastering old episodes and re-airing them? Digitally re-mastered. I haven't got to really watch them though.

It's basically DB Kai, so I dont really give a shit. Plus Conan is so episodic it's hard to tell which episodes are filler and which ones aren't anyway, so it doesn't even have the filler killer factor.

Yeah, I'm not sure why they are doing them.

Also when I said I didn't really got to watch them I meant more as-in how they look digitally re-mastered, because I don't think they bothered to only do the canon episodes. Every now and then they put them in-between the normal broad-casts of the latest episodes.
