Will Kuririn play a significant role in the Universe tournament

Notice how Kuririn is one of the more focused on characters in the trailer/opening such as when all the U7 fighters (sane Goku, Gohan and Vegeta) are holding Dragonballs he's at the front of the screen and seems to be an important participant. It also seems like a weird coincidence that out of all the supporting cast he is the one that gets his own episode of development right before the arc where he conquers his inner demons. They are also suppose to reintroduce #17 in this arc who is #18's bro (and Kuririn's brother-in-law) since this is the first time in years since we have seen #17 I am assuming the writers would want to give him a prominent role in this coming arc and since he's tied to #18 and Kuririn by default this is the perfect chance to have a family trio team battle. It's just a thought but I think Kuririn is going to be damn impressive and show how much he has improved since going back to martial arts (he will at least be more useful and stronger than Tenshithand).

I think he will, but if he does, Piccolo and Gohan probably will too to a degree.

A scan posted a while back had a section that talked about 17 and 18 and Krillin and 18 having dual attacks together. I don't recall anything being said about a trio attack though.

Hell, I don't even know how they'll do dual attacks unless they have group matches or some shit.

I'm hoping EVERYONE will win at least one match before they get taken out. Out of 12 other universes, you gotta figure there will be some fighters out there for Krillin and co. to tangle with and win.

But yeah, Krillin will probably end up winning more matches than Piccolo and others before someone strong enough comes and takes him out finally.

Its a tournament where they're all gonna die if they lose, of course he's gonna play a major role along with the other humans and a Namekian. The most fighter i'm looking forward to is Mr. Boo! That guy is awesome and would love to see how Toei and Toriyama will handle him.

Sadly Buu went from 2nd most powerful in the universe to weaker than tracksuit Gohan due to lazy writing.

I think Beerus and Whis will train everyone since their lives is at stake here especially Beerus. :gay

If the writers actually utilise the Kienzan hax to it's utmost strategic limits, it'd be pretty easy to make Kuririn a key player. If not, he'll probably just be taking on low tier scrubs in team attacks, unless he gets some kind of haxed training like Fearless suggested.

The return of Krillin's fighting spirit in Ep 76 along with the light shed on him amongst the low/mid level Z Fighters in the new opening suggest that he'll be of some fair use in the upcoming 'Tournament of Power'. Despite those hints, I wouldn't be surprised if the best thing he does is sweep some low tier opponent(s). We'll see what happens soon.

True, he is the one who invented it so I would imagine if anyone can utitlize the Kienzan to it's full potential it would be Kuririn. Perhaps he can develop the Kienzan akin to Freeza's where it can lock on to the enemy's chi or maybe he can learn a variation of it that can wrap around the enemy to restrain them. I personally think Kuririn is one of the most skilled fighters in the series (he was the first and only character to learn the Bukujutsu without being trained by the Crane Hermit or Kami, meaning he learned it strictly on his own) so he has a lot of potential to be useful even if he isn't one of the stronger U7 contestants.

While it's heavily hinted in the opening that it's the case, I hope that Kuririn will play a significant role beyond being the butt monkey. He deserves a better treatment.

If he is anything but a butt monkey I have to hear y'all complain about the hax.

As long as someone besides Goku and Vegeta is actually useful, I don't care.

Krillin seemed to be doing pretty well against Basil in the episode 83 preview. If this event is real, then unless Basil was holding back greatly, this feat would make Krillin relevant to low tier SSJ2s from Z at bare minimum.
