Doesn't it feel strange that at the tail end of the New World, most of the crew still doesn't know how to use it?

Nami, Robin, Franky, Chopper, Brook, Vivi

Out of those I see Chopper getting it, because he tends to fight yet has no means to fight a logia without haki.
Maybe he'll ask Zoro to show him.

Franky doesn't need it because he can use air and fire power. Maybe he could develop something that feeds seawater into his hands to allow him to hurt logias/all paramecias, similar to when Luffy fought Crocodile with bloody hands.

Nami doesn't need to it to fight because she has air, rain and lightning power. I could see her unlocking foresight haki during a fight if she makes everything misty to obscure vision, but she doesn't need it.

Robin could do with it for combat, but I can't see her having armament. She could unlock some sort of foresight or past sight related to the poneglyphs. If her fruit powers were stronger it would be similar to having foresight since she could have thousands of eyes and ears as faraway outposts at all times (doubt this happens).

Brook can fuck off. But he has ice in his blade already.

Usopp is the main one I can see unlocking conqueror's (I know he has foresight), when he becomes more sure of himself. I guess Sanji could, just because he's in the monster trio - but I think it wouldn't make huge sense that he's not already unlocked it, especially as he's already had a post-skip arc centred around him.

I guess it's weird considering all Vice Admirals and the WB/Kaido/Shanks commanders have it I guess? Luffy's crew is so small it's like they're all commanders. There are a couple shichibukai (Crocodile and Moria) who didn't have haki but had DF that allowed them to compete with the upper tiers, but that doesn't apply to most of the hakiless SHs. On the other hand, some of the SHs clearly have non-combat roles, so it might make sense to have no haki - it fits the idea of them all needing each other and the weakest members still being important despite being weak in combat.

Do BB's crew all have abilities that would make you need haki to fight them?

Feels like Oda wrote himself into a corner with Robin. Her having armament would make her way too broken.

Franky has absolutely no issue with vice admirals in Egghead. Nami's attacks don't really utilize it. Chopper is the one that could use some sort of haki.

I think that most of them don’t use Haki for similar reasons as to why none of them are logia users, or why Luffy is just a paramecia and Zoro and Sanji don’t use devil fruit powers. It’s likely because Oda wants them to be underdogs and wants to write more creative fights for the Straw Hat Pirates.
