During Christmas, I was finally able to get my hands on all the VizBig volumes I needed left. I'll read them when I get back from out of town and try to read them each every other day as opposed to 1 volume out of 42.

I don't always care about debating dragonball, but I still enjoy reading the series all these years later.

I finished the Pilaf Arc. It was okay, but I found the Boss Rabbit portion a bit pointless. Plus, I like Oolong even though he's a minor support character, and in this Arc, he did so much, and even saved the world.

I also thought the Boss Rabbit portion pointless.

I finished Volume 3, and Volume 1 of my VizBig collection. The 21st is already noticeably better than the Pilaf Arc.

It only gets better from there.

I have not been slacking off... I'm just a slow reader and I like to take my time. Plus I already know the story anyway, and I finished Devilman in its place.

Anyway, I basically finished the 21st Budokai. It's quite a bit better than Pilaf because stuff like Roshi being Jackie Chun and Nam's village being in trouble, which both lead to Roshi being more than just a perverted old master and thus being a likable character. The fights are simple but well done... Even the gag fights.

Roshi was pretty cool in the 21st, I liked how badass he was in general.

Congrats and kudos, props and high fives all around for getting it.

21st had sick fights. Not the best though....but hey you don't only need the best.

The 21st is when dragonball really hit it's stride in my opinion.

I finished the second Viz Big Volume guys...

Honestly, Red Ribbon isn't as bad as I remember it to be, although I watched it in anime form and I remember it being pretty dragged out there. I think it's noticeably better than Pilaf, which kind of sucked to me.

I didn't mind Muscle Tower. It was much better in the manga compared to the anime.

Goku vs Murasaki was probably the lowest point of the RRA imo. RRA really hits its peak when Tao comes into the picture.

I finished yet another volume (not a Viz Big one though). The General Blue portion was definitely worse than the General White part. It was annoying how he kept surviving through the power of plot, especially the first time. I'm looking forward to Tao Pai Pai, though.

I felt that Muscle Tower dragged on a lot more than Blue's part of the story did.

Muscle Tower had multiple villains while they only fought Blue during that section of the arc

That's true, didn't think about it that way.

I still didn't mind the Blue stuff.
