During Christmas, I was finally able to get my hands on all the VizBig volumes I needed left. I'll read them when I get back from out of town and try to read them each every other day as opposed to 1 volume out of 42.
I finished the Pilaf Arc. It was okay, but I found the Boss Rabbit portion a bit pointless. Plus, I like Oolong even though he's a minor support character, and in this Arc, he did so much, and even saved the world.
I have not been slacking off... I'm just a slow reader and I like to take my time. Plus I already know the story anyway, and I finished Devilman in its place.
Anyway, I basically finished the 21st Budokai. It's quite a bit better than Pilaf because stuff like Roshi being Jackie Chun and Nam's village being in trouble, which both lead to Roshi being more than just a perverted old master and thus being a likable character. The fights are simple but well done... Even the gag fights.
Honestly, Red Ribbon isn't as bad as I remember it to be, although I watched it in anime form and I remember it being pretty dragged out there. I think it's noticeably better than Pilaf, which kind of sucked to me.
I finished yet another volume (not a Viz Big one though). The General Blue portion was definitely worse than the General White part. It was annoying how he kept surviving through the power of plot, especially the first time. I'm looking forward to Tao Pai Pai, though.
