I finished Volume 8. Tao Pai Pai was better than the rest of the RRA Arc, but honestly, the actual ending was the worst part of the entire Arc. Red was awful like last time, but Black was even worse than I remember him as. He deluded himself into thinking he was still in control of the RRA in spite of them fleeing the headquarters, as well as having the edge against Goku. Hopefully the Baba portion will be better.

While I was gone, I sold my VizBig Volumes in exchange for the standard ones for more collector's value. I also finished Volume 13, so I'm almost finished with Piccolo Daimao and Part I.

The 22nd was a big step up from the mediocrity of the Red Ribbon Arc, and Piccolo Daimao is even better than that. Piccolo Daimao is one of the best Arcs in the series along with Saiyajin and Freeza. Piccolo Daimao himself is definitely one of the best characters in the series along with Freeza too. I like how he wants to rid the world of any law enforcement.

I really like the Son Gohan fight in the baba arc. The rest of it was pretty lame

I felt that Muscle Tower dragged on a lot more than Blue's part of the story did.

Agreed.I feel like it's the weakest part in the RRa Saga. Bland Characters and the pacing was not its strong suit tbh.But nothing beats the horrible Baba Saga. That was the worst saga in DB for me tbh. The only part I liked was Gohan meeting up with Goku tbh. lol

RRA arc as a whole is just garbage imo. Even more funny when Goku later objects to the deaths of people like Reacoom and Butter and yet kicked a frozen monster to death simply because it attacked him lol

Main reason I didn't like the RRA arc was because it was a good chance for Krillin to show off his powers and he was just used and show off fodder for Goku

Kid goku just kind of lays waste to people especially in this arc. I guess all those widows filed class action or something on him between db and dbz

He didn't actually kill a human being until after this arc started though, and the only other intelligent lifeforms he killed until Yakon were supposedly demonic in origin. It's the most ironic part of his history considering his moral soap drama speeches later on.

He doesn't explicitly kill anyone, but for sure people die when he assaults RR army HQ

Buyon was killed by being frozen and then shattered by Goku's kick, but that's the only actual death I can recall.

He explicitly killed people every time he blew up their planes or robots. Quite a lot.

He never killed a human prior to this arc other than Gohan

I have to agree with Papasmurf. Goku refusing to kill the Ginyus and cursing Vegeta for doing so was ridiculous considering his way of act in the RRA arc.

That's what makes Roshi's line about Goku not being able to kill a bug or some shit (when Raditz asks him to kill 100 humans) so funny. Literally the only enemy Goku showed mercy to was Piccolo Jr., he killed everyone else as ruthlessly as he killed Drum lol.

Goku never damaged a plane that either exploded or went down. Also, he had to get rid of Buyon because the monster would be uncontainable.

Even if he did kill people, I think drinking the Sacred Water changed him.

Yep. Then proceeded to kick his grenade back at him and leave him for dead right afterwards.

Fuck RRA Goku. They later tried to write him like Coby while depicting him like Rob Lucci in that arc.
