Gen 5 is the best. Diamond and Pearl are disappointing and while Platinum is good, it's slow and ultimately doesn't look as nice as Gen 5. The story isn't as good either. I'd say HGSS are the best entries in the series though. That may change once I finish B2W2. Gen 5 > 3 > 4 > 6 based on games...
