Nah, having given it more thought, this is a really stupid mentality to have. Any fan of the source material would want a live-action adaption of it to be good. When you cram a bunch of stuff into 5 episodes, you rush it; when it's rushed, it's less likely to be good, which defeats the purpose...

He was pretty insignificant before the Cell arc, honestly. Not a cheap shot, though. Gohan legitimately surpassed Raditz when he got angry. He still crushed Vegeeta when he fell on him as a giant monkey.
