If Godou doesn't hate the person, he'd be willing to team up if that is what it took. He'd rather fight on his own, or with his close companions Erica, Liliana, and Maria. Besides those three, he'd prefer to fight on his own, but like I said: he will fight in a team without any problems, if the situation calls for it.

I suppose I should bring in one thing I forgot from FF8, and that would be Squall's Draw ability, which essentially allows him to copy someone's magic and stock up on it to use for himself. I figure it might be useful here since it's referenced in-game by the characters as something that actually exists outside of game mechanics.

Basically he has to stand still and focus on the magical energies a person has and then concentrate on a spell to copy, then once he does so, a copy of that spell comes out from the targets body and enters Squall's. I figure this could help Squall in this battle to some degree.

Alrighy, let me beef up Cloud a little. I am considering this his official entry here, as I didn't expect shit to get so real so fast in this thread. I'm posting this so I can give a better description of Cloud, and I will get to to responding to you guys shortly.

This piece of armor protects the wearer from most status effects, such as slow, sleep, paralysis and so on. While this isn't specific to him per say, it is a limited item, and there is no one ever who doesn't put this on Cloud.

Cloud's weaponry deserves an upgrade too. He will be using the Fusion Swords this time around. These are a series of six swords are different shapes and sizes, which can be combined to form a single, larger blade, similar to his Buster Sword. Cloud has used up to three blades at a time in combat.

Omnislash Version 5: The Limit Break involves Cloud separating his sword into its individual components, and attacking the opponent with each sword. The attack was called "Omnislash Version 5" as it was the fifth version of the attack designed for the film. This attack is a total of thirteen slashes it its deadliest form.

Clouds strength, speed, agility, healing, and durability are all enhanced many times past that of the normal human. This is due to his enhancements of Mako energy and Jenova cells. He can slice through solid rock and metal like it were silk.

He has incredible attack speed, power and balance. Cloud is fast enough to deflect bullets with his sword, as well as fight off multiple opponets, with a sword in each hand, while riding a motorcycle. In Advent Children, he fought Sephiroth inside of a collapsing building. The two of them actually fought upward, climbing the falling debris with each blow.

Using one of his other Limit Breaks, Climhazzard, Cloud single handedly took down the summon Bahamut SIN, one of his own magical properties that he can also use in this battle.

As with before, Cloud can still summon Bahamut SIN. This creature is not only big and strong, but he can emit emergy beams from his mouth capable of leveling cities. He does that by way of materia, the small, rounding magical orb seen below.

Eh, uh... damn. I'd literally have to scrounge deeper into non-canon for Squall in order to stay competitive here. He's the weakest of the three shown based on Dissidia and FF8, he would almost certainly have to team up with Godou since Godou seems to be the only one that can keep up with Cloud. From there I can imagine Squall taking it slow and drawing magic from a distance from Cloud and junctioning that to his physical abilities. Best part is Cloud wouldn't have to of used the magic, he would just need to have it in reserve in order for Squall to draw it. Squall can even draw summons (or Guardian Forces in FF8) so if Bahamut Sin isn't used, then there's a chance Squall can draw him and call him his own. Which could result in Squall being in control of Griever and Bahamut.

I dont know how I feel about a team up on Cloud. From Godou, this is what concerns me.

Yeah that's gonna keep Cloud busy all on its own. I might not even have a way around that. The only action for this is to summon Bahamut to take the brunt of the attack. But then Squall can take control of him, in which case Cloud would have to Climhazzard his own summon. This is why a team up might be way too much.

As far as Squalls Draw ability, I know what it can do. But I honestly don't have any magic listed for Cloud outside of Bahamut. No one in FF7 has inherent magical abilities, they are reliant on their materia, and I am only packing one.

He doesn't have any materia that's specifically assigned to him, even the simple stuff like fire, blizzard and lighting. So I couldn't justify Cloud using a whole lot of magic here even if I wanted. The in game mechanics are entirely dependant on the gamer's choice regarding materia. The ONLY reason I can justify Bahamut SIN is because it was stolen and then used from Cloud's collection, so i know he has it.

Yeah, I assume he would gain some power from that. I wouldn't put this particular incarnation of Bahamut too high on the scale. I'd call him a middle of the road summon, based of the ease with which cloud dispatched him, and how the others were able to keep him at bay.

How do you feel about introducing some Mighty Guard into the equation, as it would be mutually beneficial, especially for energy based attacks.

I'm assuming the FF7 variant, which would be the equivalent of FF8's Shell, Protect, and Haste being cast all at once... I'm unsure of whether or not Squall would team up with Cloud under any circumstance. If he's in his strategic mindset, he's almost certain to remember Cloud and what he can do atleast Dissidia wise. Godou would be an unknown and if Squall's only going off of what he can read from a scan spell, I doubt it would pick up the seals. So I imagine Squall would team up with Godou either way, teaming up with Cloud would almost surely result in defeat since Squall needs to rely on distance and either one of Godou or Cloud could close the distance in relatively short time.

Have we gone over the location of which these guys are fighting? I imagine that could change a bunch of how this fight goes. Because as I see it, in an open area, Squall is least likely to win if he's going solo. He's got a good chance of beating Godou if he teams up with him to get rid of Cloud (since Squall wouldn't meet all of the requirements for the seals to be released.) And he's got virtually zero chance of winning if he teams up with Cloud since IMO Squall's strategy would be to let Godou and Cloud go at it while he gets Bahamut and Griever ready to be summoned. Unless he can convince Cloud to let him steal Bahamut...

Godou's strength is very circumstantial, whilst Cloud's is more or less a constant and can be picked up by a scan spell.

Besides what you said about the White Stallion, I think that Cloud could take out Godou in this new incarnation. When Godou uses his super strength and hightened abilities, he would pose a great threat but it would run out. Cloud seems constantly badass, so I feel like he takes this one here.

If its a free for all, I see Godou or Cloud taking out Squall and then Cloud taking the victory, but it's hard to say. Godou has some useful abilities that let him push far past peak human or even low super human. There was an ability of his that I left out that lets him move even faster than Bird of Prey, letting him move at light speed lol.
