No. It's typical light novel empowerment fantasy of a boy being turned into an overpowered character when journeying to another world for no real reason (aka. a slightly better version of SAO), then all that is abandoned in the later seasons when the focus turns to characters with zero relevance to the plot.Pocket-God said:

Yeah, that's pretty much what I thought. But a friend of mine wanted me to watch it, thought I'd get someone else's opinion to see if it was worth giving a shot or not.

After I finish watching the two animes I'm busy with, if I start watching another anime it'd be one of these, Highschool DxD, Monogatari Series or Fullmetal Alchemist.

Highschool DxD - Generic ecchi harem with the only thing standing out being the uncensored dvd episodes show the nipples. Might as well just watch hentai.Pocket-God said:
Monogatari - Stylistic harem due to its visuals and play on words, but is otherwise just another generic harem, plus it does have a bit too much lolicon undertones. Most the series has of worth is some of the openings.
Fullmetal Alchemist - 03 or Brotherhood? FMA:B is one of the best Shonen out there due to having the majority of its characters remain relevant to the plot and very consistent, a highly consistent power system, very good themes/theme exploration and a very tight narrative. 03 is far inferior once it goes down its anime only material due to poor filler, more plot holes and less character consistency, though it may still have worth as a comparative evaluation to Brotherhood and is still probably the best option out of the 3 choices given.
