Did Future Trunks get stronger during the Android Saga?

I think Piccolo's line is a bit weird, I mean, how is Goku putting out close to his full power if he should be way more powerful than that? Maybe he was using full effort, but the size of his ki should be greater?

I always took it to mean he was going all out, but his power wasn't near what it should have been for him putting in full effort.

We know, from Lone Warrior, that Trunks was about 50% of Future Androids. We also know, from Guru's statement, that Piccolo (pre Kami) is
50% of Present Androids. Trunks is stronger than Piccolo, since Piccolo praised his SSJ power. So, for Trunks to be somewhat stronger than
Piccolo and still not too different from his 3 year prior self, Present Androids have to be the same as future ones.

Yeah, me and papasmurf brought this up, but the only thing Gokhan said was:"it doesn't matter"...

papasmurf also did a good point about future Trunks fighting the future Androids again.

Yeah #17 basically says as soon as Trunks walks into the battle that no one can fail miserably as many times as Trunks, which to me hardly suggests they only fought once. To each his own though.

It was about the future ones:

Chapter: 348 (DBZ 154), P6.1
Context: after Piccolo says Super Saiyan Vegeta might beat No.17 and No.18
Trunks: “I-I was able to become a Super Saiyan too…B-but, I was absolutely no match for them…They’re stupendously strong…”


But I don't think this prevents Trunks fighting them fairly well, since the "no match" was used before when the weaker fighter could fight the stronger fairly well, unless you think "absolutely no match" is that different than "no match".
