The episode where Gohands regained his Ultimate power was titled something like: "Gohan! Regain the power that surpassed your father!"

It makes the Kid Boo fight even worse if everyone including Toei grasped that U. Gohan was the strongest.

Guess the second question comes down to ssjvsssj2 gohan beliefs

I discovered that Gohan was just an SSJ against Dabra, my reasoning is this:

  Vegeta wanted to interfere in the fight between Gohan vs Dabura, to finish it quickly
. That means that Goku knew that Vegeta could easily defeat Dabura, but he did not know that Vegeta could transform into SSJ2. That means that Goku knew that Vegeta SSJ was >> Dabura.

  How do we know?

  The answer is the following, when Goku was going to begin his fight against Majin Vegeta, both were converted to SSJ. Then Goku made the decision to become SSJ2 and told Majin Vegeta that he would finish the fight immediately, but to Goku's surprise, Majin Vegeta transformed into SSJ2.

  Therefore: Vegeta SSJ (Boo) >> Dabura, therefore Gohan was also converted into SSJ against Dabura.

Vegeta isnt gohan and goku doesnt make powerlvls like us lol if vegeta says he can beat dabra then theres no reason for goku to think otherwise until proven he cant

Anywho there are opposing points to ssj as there are to ssj2 so just a few points doesnt really cear it up, the situation is weird and i dont think people will ever have a uniform answer

If Goku could take Vegeta's word on being able to defeat Dabra, shouldn't the same apply to his statement on being superior to Gohan?

Goku being shocked at Vegeta turning SS2 makes less sense than the rest of what's going on at that time.

No way. I think he's making the comparison based on their Super Saiyan 2 levels. Goku had just got finished revealing his power, so it makes sense for the emphasis to be on that form.

The fact that Dabura was compared to Cell is enough to assume that Dabura is a SSjin2 tier which is Cell's peak.

Maybe Goku thought Vegeta was referring to him being superior to Gohan in equal ways. Or maybe Goku was thinking about the possibility that Vegeta could have SSJ2, but after Goku saw that Gohan needed to get angry to have SSJ2, Goku knew that Vegeta was referring to Vegeta SSJ >> Gohan SSJ.

I don't believe Goku ever assumed Gohan needed anger to become Super Saiyan 2. Gohan took his shades off and smiled at the crowd right before transforming. Some people like to say he was angered, but I don't necessarily agree. When his anger exploded, he became a Super Saiyan...and immediately reverted back to normal.

Goku told Gohan to get angry so he could tap into all of his power like he did against Cell. Simply becoming a Super Saiyan 2 alone isn't enough. That's why Vegeta said even though they're stronger than Gohan, that could quickly change if he got pissed.

Yeah, they definitely suggested a difference between angry Gohan and SS2 Gohan.

Maybe Kami continued training after Daimao got sealed away before reaching old age. Majunior did comment on Kami having come to neglect his training as a reason for his loss against him just before the 23rd TB finals, so it's safe to say both of them knew Kami was far from maxed out.

Popo's training. While Piccolo Daimao went to conquer earth then got seal, Kami trains.

Besides that, I think AT wanted Kami to look strong in his debut hence why he finger click Goku to get that statement across of him being powerful.

Be that as it may, Kami still had centuries to train, so even by himself his increase in power would make sense if he were equal to Daimao. Piccolo talking about Kami neglecting his training and Majunior's gains in 3 years alone seem to support this.
