And on top of that, Spike doesn't give off the same kind of vibe that Nam does. In that situation, Spike would probably be smiling smugly; looking down on the other fighters.

Other than the somewhat recent interview by Toriyama to promote Minus, is there anything to imply there’s such a thing as “Middle Class” in Saiyan Hierarchy?

Beyond post-Minus material such as FighterZ, I don't think so. However, middle class would seem like a natural option given how social hierarchies have worked in human societies. It'd make sense for there to be some Saiyans that don't fit firmly into either extreme of lower class or elite status.

Given how Raditz was probably the lowest low class at 1,200 and Nappa was an Elite at 4,000 I doubt there’s room for the existence of a middle class. To be it sounds like a two fold society: Low class is basically everyone and Elite is the nobility.

ahill1 he claims to be one as Goku trashes him around and his Daizenshuu 7 says he’s one as well.

Then again, that depends if you believe Nappa's BP from Daizenshuu.

Mirai Trunks transforming against Freeza was so nice. Forgot this moment was so epic.

Was it ever stated in the story why Roshi used his buff form so little before Super? I know it’s a general consensus the form has the same drawbacks as FP Freeza or Grade 3, but is there a direct statement by Roshi?

I don't think there's. But it's easily inferable that's due to the draw backs you mentioned, à la SSJG3. Super is the only medium that (movies also, actually) that such state is used for battle.

Aside from inferring it from how he used it (only against stationary targets), there's nothing within the main series that confirms it. If using video games, however, his character bio in BT2 and 3 state that the form drains a lot of stamina and is hard to maintain.
This being contradictory to its appearance in Super can be explained away with the confirmation that Roshi was training in secret and could've perfected the state.

If Dabra ended up one shoting Gohan with his spit or his sword, would it gather all of Gohan's energy?

Probably not. I wouldn't count instantly petrifying someone as "damage" as far as their Ki goes. Dabura was just getting desperate.

That said, how should we treat Dabura's later statement that Gohan wasn't too great? Sure, we can chalk it up to arrogance or a facade, but I doubt Dabura would be that stupid as to think someone he was dead even with could be easily dealt with later on. It is worth noting how composed he was after postponing the battle.
If you wanted to make things consistent whilst taking Dabura's word on it, I guess you could assume his use of his magic had more to do with it being so long since he fought such a strong opponent and getting caught up in the battle whilst not thinking straight. Thoughts?

Captain Cadaver while I agree he might have gotten desperate by the time he spat on Gohan, wouldn't he have left the spit for after the sword was broken if that were the case?

For his statement, I'd say it's a bit of both. He clearly can't take Gohan easily, but he would have eventually wore Gohan down and killed him. He was weaker than Gohan, but his magic and stamina closed the gap between them.

I did a breakdown on their fight a while ago when debating Tapion, and between Gohan tanking his blast and making Dabra lose his cool twice in a direct combat, I'd say it's definitely a case of other factors compensating the lack of power. Dragon Books say Gohan was the stronger of the two and that Dabra was a experienced fighter as well.
