So, a little thought I had about both present and future Gohan. Do you think a secondary reason for Gohan being left with one arm (first obviously being to extend the fight and keep tension high) was to mirror his future self having lost an arm, particularly his TV Special self in which Future Gohan fires off a one-handed Kamehameha?

Always thought this was the case, though the Future Kamehameha was either the movie copying the series or just a cool coincidence since the TV Special was released after the Cell Games had finished IIRC.

I like to think of this as Trunks' prophecy will eventually fulfill itself one way or another; Gohan gets his arm mauled, Goku dies and the Earth keeps being attacked by powerful enemies.

The TV Special premiered 24th February 1993, at which point in the manga Cell was attempting his self-destruction. Considering how Toriyama has admitted to making things up as he went along, it's not hard to imagine he implemented this reference into a chapter several weeks later.

Is it possible that, because Pure Boo is pure evil, that the souls of those he killed were unable to ascend? That would be another explanation for Gotenks and Gohan not to be sent by Enma, and would also explain why South and North Kaioshin don’t keep their bodies like Old Kaioshin.

it's also cool to notice that the special chapter, which was available quickly before the CGs began, had Gohan saying he took on his father clothes to help being strong as him, though that wasn't an easy task, whereas few chapters later it'd be revealed that Gohan has surpassed his father.

It's curious to note that in the TV special Gohan lost his arm protecting Trunks iirc and in the original story the loss of kid Gohan's arm functionality also was indirectly caused by Trunks' death, as if that weren't the case Vegeta wouldn't have jumped in to fight and forced Gohan to protect him. I dunno if that was intentional, but it's still a nice curiosity.

Is Viz even necessary after reading the manga so many times? The relevant strength quotes are in the strength checker anyway.

Yeah, and it's not likely I'll have to show scan of statements for others anyway; everybody knows the story. I wanted more for double-check and/or entertainment purposes, but I guess anime subs and brazilian translations will do. There's also the raws for image purposes.

The Mangasee staff say it'll take about a week to restore all the pages of their manga, so it won't be a permanent problem. My advice is to just be patient.

I think Kissmanga has them, though the amount of a(i)ds filling that site make it not worth it.

Some Brazillian's manga reader sites such as UnionMangas or MangaLivre has very good scans and all of the speeches seem directly translated from VIZ haha. I also stumbled upon a Spanish site called LectorManga that has all the full color scans from chap 1 to 520 with Spanish translations on top of it, so if you'd like to read the full color version that's the way to go (although the translations aren't great they aren't terrible either).

It seems the Mangasee pages are back now. I've looked through a few chapters and haven't found any problems with the original manga or full colour versions.
