I guess I'm in the minority that doesn't hate Movie 11. Sure Bio Broly isn't the greatest movie villain but I like the screen time that Goten, Trunks, and 18 all get. It's a nice change of pace.

I agree somewhat. It's still definitely a bad film with how Broly's defeat hinged on something completely outside of the Dragon Team's efforts and the fact it didn't even need to be a Broly movie, though it lacks as many plot holes as Movie 10 or DBS Broly and doesn't directly damage canon like the latter did, so I wouldn't even class it as the worst of the Broly films.
Changing the focus was good in premise, though doesn't do that well in execution when there was no real reason for Gohan or Piccolo to not get involved when they should've sensed what was going on (or Vegeta if he was still alive in this timeline) and #18's role in it was a missed opportunity with how she only stomped fodders before being ragdolled by Broly.

So I've watched it yesterday and I'm wondering, where is all this visceral hate coming from? It's not a good movie sure, but I still find it to be a better experience than Z Movie 10.

Like with most Z Movies, the scenery and environment is absolutely stellar. Having the Saiyan-hybrid kids, Kuririn, and #18 being the main focus is a great divergence from the typical ''Goku or Gohan ends up saving the day''. The animation was pretty good too, especially Kuririn's Kienzan perhaps being the most well made in this movie.

The Bio warriors lacked interesting designs that the previous movies had, but I can give it a free pass here since they had a very minor role anyways. On the other hand, I find Bio-Broli's design to be quite freakish, which was the point. They really did ran with the B movie monster concept with this story.

Anyways, the movie was still overall very boring to go through to the point where I wanted it to get to the actual fighting part, which was cool in some scenes I guess. Bio-Broli having no dialogue was also a massive downside that makes the villain itself not very engaging.

Anyways, I can't say that I dislike this movie. It's probably on the lower-end of mediocre in my opinion as far as I'm concerned.

Much like everyone else said, the main cast isn’t a low point of the movie. If anything it’s a highlight to not have Goku in the movie, and I wish they’d have done this with other movies.

That being said, Broly sucks. A one trick pony that keeps being brought up again and again, each time worse and dumber. Bio Broly was like that Zombie-themed sequel no one asked for.

Is there any way to make sense of the unseen timeline having a Cell Games without Trunks as Daizenshuu 7 implied?

I can't get myself around that. Can't think of how they reached such conclusion.

In the Timeline where Trunks travels (Cell Line), they discover the plans of the Androids and stop the Androids or simply, these are not very bad and they join the Z Warriors. Trunks returns to his Timeline (Line Cell), while in the Invisible Line, many years pass, Cell is born and absorbs the Androids and creates the CG.

But in the unseen timeline the Cell Games is scheduled to happen on year 767, same year it happened in the main timeline.

if the CGs happened in the same year as of that in the main timeline, then it would have to be a Cell coming from yet another timeline, as the Cell from that timeline would logically take more than 20 years to mature.

Good point, maybe it was sloppy writing by Daizenshuu 7.

Does someone have a link to DBZ Movie 2? Want to rewatch it, but can't find the JP version with Eng subs.

The search function only showed BoG and RoF as far as Z films.

I see. The site I checked had a slightly different URL and was more limited as far as content.

Haven't gone on it yet, but if it ignores ad-blocking methods, then too bad. Maybe your offer stacks up after all.

It's only $12,000 CDN for the entire collection. If you ask me, M2 is worth that alone. It's a steal.

I'll be mannerly and let someone else take advantage of this marvellous offer. Future Warrior thanked your post, so maybe he will be first in line.
